Balls talks about WWE, TNA, ROH, his release, his son, and of course Xanta Klaus ;D
Since it's rather long, I'd advise going to the link as I won't post the whole thing. Just what he had to say about the Kelly angle.

Looks like he should've kept his Balls to himself. If they didn't shoot out a kid then he'd have had a hot angle with Kelly and still had a job.

Well, it sucks, because I'm a really big fan of Balls(Hah, hah, he made a ball joke ;D), but I'm glad to see the dude kept his priorities straight.

Family comes first. He made the right call.

If Balls is happy with the decision he made, then good for him. But it sounds like he might be of two minds about it. He says he's earning more on the indies, but his schedule is far more than it was in WWE.
But family does not always come first. I hate this attitude that some people have that says that had he chosen to do the job he is paid to do, then he would be doing the wrong thing.
He had plenty of time to have made arrangements with WWE to have time off when his son was born. He could have obviously handled himself better.
It's all well and good to say family comes first, but what if everyone took that attitude? What if the doctor you need to see decided to stay home because he wanted to be with his kid? What if you couldn't get a police officer in an emergency because they all went to watch their kids little league game? You have more responsibilities in life than your family.
While I'm sure it's nice to have been home with his son for a few extra days, in the grand scheme of things, Balls could have stayed with WWE for a few more years and have paid to put his kid through college.
Reading that interview was interesting. I like Mahoney, and I was sad to see him go from WWE. Hopefully we'll see him back again some day.

I always love how the WWE acts like they give a crap about the people they employ.
Then someone is sick, injured, or has a kid and they are sent with the other cattle that have stayed to long and killed.
So rude at least they could let some of these people off with more respect.

You do make a lot of good points about family having to come second because of duty, but come on, man. Balls Mahoney is just a wrestler. He's basically an actor. People aren't gonna die if he's gone. The world will keep on spinning.

I've lost a lot of respect for Balls reading up on him in various places - but reading that interview I've gained a lot more than I've ever had. He seems smart, insightful, honest and above all, classy of mind if not of hygeine. Not just badmouthing people outright like others do, that's a classy move.

No, but with any job you have responsibility. Balls knew he was in the middle of a major angle, which was progressing each week on TV. He should have worked something out with WWE in advance if he wanted time off. I've always heard that WWE is pretty accommodating for that sort of thing. Plenty of wrestlers miss TV when they have a kid. But obviously there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it, as there is in any job.
While not as serious as my examples of a doctor or policeman, Balls failing to show up directly affected the writers, Miz, Kelly and anyone else who would have been inconvenienced by last minute changes due to his absence. And what if everyone at WWE decided they'd start not showing up for shows when family took priority? His job requires him to meet certain obligations.
Most jobs allow for maternity leave. But there's a way to apply for it. You don't just no-show, which it sounds like Balls did.

Just what he had to say about the Kelly angle. Rajah.com is reporting that Ball's baby has heat with half the WWE locker room...only behind CM Punk in terms of heat.

I don't understand how that's the impression you got from this interview. They did give him time off. And they were very polite in how they released him, even Balls is not upset about how it went down. They did ask him to work one big show, and he refused. In the grand scheme of things, that probably not a big deal. If they say, you can be off for a few weeks if you just work this one day, I think that's pretty reasonable.

For reference, the match Balls was talking about. One week after the infamous handspring elbow botch. Also, I miss Joey Styles on commentary And the only match he had when he came back, against Big Daddy V, which got cut short by Taker

Balls for his size is seriously underrated, he was main eventing house shows for ECW for a while against RVD. At first look you went aww crap. But the two of them tore the house down most of the time.
