Alright so a week ago I go out into the garage to try and clean up a fake rim I found. I like them so I always pick them up. First thing I notice is that its gone. The second thing is that I notice theres like 5 roaches having a N.A meeting or something. And I mean those big brown ones.
Now like everyone theres always the occasional big roaches making a dash across the floor. And theres sometimes a couple in the bathroom cause all the water, but they've been around alot.
A few days after that I go to take the trash out to the garage, and like always I just throw it from the door to the...garbage bag area. And I notice the trash seems to be settling a little longer then usual. I go out and kick it just a little bit and it picks up. Then I see an outline of a few roaches. And that was JUST brought out there so that means they was in the pantry, in the kitchen.
But then the worse happens. I get some Shrimp Fried Rice today and I go to get my spoon to transfer the food from the container to the food, and there is one of those big ass brown roaches RIGHT on my Rice transferring spoon.
After that I could only eat a bowl and a half, the thought just ruin the rest.
Anyone else got any roach stories? Not just infestations or whatever, could be weird or disgusting places they show up at...

Sort of a roach story: I seen this one cartoon in a magazine. Some big middle-aged roach character, wearing a rumpled hat and coat, with six ugly legs stickin' out . . . . routinely walking home at night. He walks up the steps to his apartment. Opens the door. Flicks on the kitchen light. And for an instant he sees all these tiny little human beings scrambling to take cover. They're running frantically over the floors and counter-tops, a few climbing up the sides of cabinets. All with panic on their faces. I dunno why your post made me think of that. But anyways, if I were you.... I wouldn't sleep with my mouth open. *hehehe. ,

Roaches are awesome when they sing about towels, and apartments.
That's all I've got.

I can't stand them... they're fast, have too many moving parts and are pretty much indestructable. I've heard plenty of roach stories. Buddy of mine woke up in the middle of the night and spit something across the room... a freakin roach had crawled into his mouth. Another friend while in the police academy went on call w/ an officer to a house that neighbors complained had a foul odor. The place belonged to an elderly couple who never cleaned up after themselves or threw anything away. He said the kitchen had so many roaches on the floor that it looked like the bug scene from Temple of Doom. Having to go into places like that was one of the few reasons why he quit the police force. My folks have a bad habit of leaving food out. One weekend while I was staying there I went downstairs for some water... I switched on the light and three or four of those huge brown roaches were having a damn feast on some b-day cake. It freaked me out but it only got worse when I kept seeing roaches around the house. I about had it while I was bringing my old Star Wars toys out of the attic and a roach jumped out of my Millenium Falcon. I imediately went to Home Depot and bought some industrial stenght roach killer and mixed it w/ water in one of those weed killer spray bottles. I sprayed down the whole house and my folks havn't had roach problems since. I highly recomend the stuff... I think its called Zepp.

^^^ Is Zep a multi-insect spray? My family is trying to get the best of ants and seasonal bugs.
My family use to have some near epic roach problems back in the late 80's. We use to live in an apartment complex that families were leaving left and right. When the people moved aways, the roaches moved to the few apartments that had people in them.
We collected a strange amalgam of plastic tops so the roaches didn't use our drinks as swimming pools. The roaches took over our frig and cabinets and would try to attack us when we opened them up.
Every attempt at killing them off failed...well almost everything. Moving away and making friends with a Orkin man helped out a hell of a whole lot.

I thought this was a thread about the Australian band that featured future members of the Wiggles
