Why was your iPod even NEAR a toilet? You should've known electronics and water don't mix...

Had it on while walking to work. Had to go wee. Took it in with me. My hand snagged the cord and plop.

I accidentally pulled the cord on my headphones and they hit the ground hard and now the right side doesn't work....

Let it dry out for about 2-3 days. If it doesn't work, then you're doomed.

Just lay it out and let it dry. A lot of time electronics will function after getting wet if you just dry them out. Of course not saying it is a positive it will work but worth a shot.
*damn Statman beat me to it

Years of research and development and Apple cant make an ipod that can survive getting wet.

Years of research and development and Apple cant make an ipod that can survive getting wet. Apple can't, but other companies have made cases to put your ipod in, preventing a lot of crap from happening.

I drunkenly dropped my iPod in a mud puddle overnight. The next day I went outside, found it, and reported it to Apple. Since I had just bought it about a month prior, I sent it out and got a new one about two weeks later.

Mine's been dropped twice, the first time it was fixed easily, this time the screen went kersplode, but it still works.

You should have no problems calling Apple.
Taking it to the store would probably net you a problem, though.

A friend of mine not only dropped her work pass down the toilet but flushed it as well (she knocked it in while pressing the button). That was a good conversation with the security man.
