since jericho dropped the y2j persona he has been a great no nonsense heel. but in the past id say 3 weeks he has really started to remind me of C(he who must remain nameless)t. maybe its the whole canadian connection but at the end of raw last week when jericho smirked at the top of the ramp i got chills. anyone else agree?

Agreed. With the whole seroius attitude, the suit, the stubble, the hair, he's starting to remind me of Benoit too.

He does remind me of benoit to an extent, but it's just the aggression and the way he acts now. To me, Jericho is establishing himself by far as the best heel in the wwe in the last few years.

PSSST you don't have to censor Benoit saying his name wont make him come back....
(you have to say it 3 times while facing a mirror)

I like the whole serious Jericho gimmick. Kinda shows his ruthless streak. Sorta reminds me of Harvey Dent from the Dark Knight.

I don't think Benoit, but it seems like Vince FINALLY has the sign of Ruthless Aggression he wanted all those years ago.

Sounds boring to me. I didn't care for him after a few months in the E anyway, so he can do as he wishes I suppose. I've never given up on a wrestler before, but I've done a complete 180 on this guy.

The new Jericho is tied with Edge for the best heel in professional wrestling today. I don't get a Benoit vibe from him at all, though.

I got a tiny Benoit vibe during a couple of those instances where he was standing there with that cold uncaring look during a promo or two (not aloof or srs Jericho faces) but that's pretty much it.
I give Edge the ... er, edge.... as best heel today, but Jericho has established himself as a more than solid #2. I'd go as far as to say spectacular. Aside from 2000 when he was at his hottest point I don't think I've ever liked him more than I do now.

That's really a good thing.
Look back at Benoit as a heel in WWF. He was awesome.
He just looked like "Damn, that guy is gonna f*** his opponent up." and that's exactly what he did.

PSSST you don't have to censor Benoit saying his name wont make him come back.... (you have to say it 3 times while facing a mirror) And he'll appear only to strangle you to death. TBH, Jericho does not remind me of benoit in any way. He's more charismatic tyo think about him.

No, he reminds me of the most boring, droning promos of Randy Orton at Randy's boringest, droningest, worst.
Jericho's ringwork has never been amazing and still isn't now.

Jericho's always been one of my top guys, but I do not like this "new" heel persona. He's always been at his strongest when he plays the funny, over the top, mispronouncing names comedy heel. His current promos sound like he's bored, and trying to get the whole thing overwith so he can get out of there. He's really not convincing me that he's a badass.

Jericho isn't a badass. He isn't even a heel. He's the face, if anything. Michaels did what he usually does and got punished for it for a change. This is some of the best work he's done since coming back last year. I only wish he hadn't had to change his character to do it. I really liked how Jericho stood out from the other wrestlers whether he was heel or face, but in the WWE it hasn't be a good thing to do that supposedly since 2001. So now he has to become like everyone else, but if it means that he'll keep performing as he has, it's worth it. He is one of the few reasons why I have decided to start watching the WWE again.

I really am loving him, with the exception of the new wrestling gear. I hate it. He just doesn't look like Chris Jericho anymore.
