It's now time for those at joint 118th with 19 points .... The Dark Phoenix/Phoenix Force Isn't this Jean Grey?: The alias of Phoenix has been used by several fictional comic book characters published by Marvel Comics. The first, Baron Helmut Zemo, used the alias only once, but the later bearers of the identity are far more notable, and all are associated with the Phoenix Force. The Phoenix Force is famous for its central role in one of the most influential storylines in American superhero comics, the Dark Phoenix Saga, and is usually linked to Jean Grey. So if it's not her what is it?: The Phoenix Force is an immortal and mutable manifestation of the prime universal force of life. Born of the void between states of being, the Phoenix Force is a child of the universe. It is the nexus of all psionic energy which does, has, and ever will exist in all realities of the omniverse, the Guardian of Creation, and a de-facto guardian of the M'Kraan Crystal. The Phoenix is among the most feared beings in the entire existence - having the power to cut and re-grow any part of the universe, as well as destroy it entirely, which is part of the Phoenix's purpose: "The Judgment of the Phoenix", to burn away the obsolete. The Phoenix becomes the Dark Phoenix when it allows human emotion to cloud it's judgement. In this state, Phoenix is the strongest, but also is an evil entity. It thirsts for power and destruction. Totally uncontrollable, it is a force to be reckoned with as it is not bound by a human conscience. When Dark Phoenix flew back into space, her true firebird form was seen across the entire universe and even demanded the attention of Eternity. Pumpkinhead I thought you said comic book only?: Although most know Pumpkinhead from the movie he has appearen in his own short lived comic book series. All the traits of the charcater remain. So what is he or it?:A group of teenagers camping in a remote mountain resort kill a boy in a dirtbike accident and cover it up, exciting his aggrieved father (Lance Henriksen) to vow for revenge. Enlisting the help of a local witch, an old woman named Haggis, he conjures up a demonic monster, nicknamed "Pumpkinhead" by the local rural mountain folk because of the "Pumpkin Patch Graveyard" it is buried in, to kill those responsible for his son's death. When the monster starts killing the teenagers, the man sees visions of the murders, feels the victims' pain, and believing his vengeance has gone too far, attempts to aid the teenagers. It is implied that after Pumpkinhead has completed his work the father has become the next Pumpkinhead, and is placed in the graveyard for the next person to summon. Winter Soldier (Bucky) Why has this guy got Captain America's shield?:He is an orphan, the son of a soldier killed in training at U.S. Army Camp Lehigh in Virginia just before the United States' entry into World War II. As a result, he is unofficially adopted by the camp as a mascot. Nicknamed "Bucky," he takes to wearing a uniform and becoming savvy with the ins and outs of military life, even though he is a teenager. During this time he befriends Steve Rogers and they form an exceptional Nazi fighting duo. Unfortunatly before the war ends Bucky is assumed killed in action whilst Rogers is frozen in the arctic during a missile explosion So what happened?: After the plane explodes, General Vasily Karpov and the crew of a Russian patrol submarine find Bucky's cold-preserved body (minus an arm). Bucky is revived in Moscow, though, as a result of the explosion, he suffers brain damage with amnesia. Scientists attach a bionic arm. Programmed to be a Soviet assassin under the code name the Winter Soldier, he is sent on covert wetworks missions, becoming increasingly ruthless and efficient as he kills in the name of the state. The Winter Soldier is kept in stasis when not on missions, and as a result has aged only a few years since the closing days of World War II. Eventually he remembers who he is and is overwhelemd with guilt. Today though he is the secret new Captain America after the original was assasinated. The Crow Who is this creepy looking chap?: The character is a fictional undead vigilante brought back to life by a supernatural crow to avenge their own deaths. The character has subsequently appeared in several feature films, a television series and novels. Over the various incarnations, films, and spin-offs, many people have taken on the Crow persona in order to avenge their own wrongful deaths. Why should we know him?: Erik Draven is the main Crow (Played by the late Brandon Lee in the movie). Eric becomes the Crow when he and his fiancée Shelley Webster are murdered by a group of street thugs. He is reborn one year later and systematically hunts down and kills his murderers before returning to the afterlife. While they are in possession of The Crow's powers, the majority of those reborn possess several unique abilities. Because they are already dead, the Crow is incapable of feeling pain and can instantly recover from any form of bodily harm, no matter how great the damage. Because of their otherworldly strength, the Crow is able to quickly overcome any adversary, even those who would be otherwise untouchable. Over the years there have been numerous people who have taken the role of the Crow. Thunderstrike I guess he might be related to Thor?: Eric Masterson, an architect, is merged with Thor and given Thor's form and powers after Thor is sealed in Eric's mind, by Odin, due to Thor's accidental killing of Loki. Eventually, Odin is revealed to have been possessed by Loki, who was attempting to manipulate everybody. Eric and Thor are separated and restored to their original bodies. Eric continues in the role of Thor, after having been given Mjolnir by Thor, who tells Eric to carry on as Earth's protector. Eric then returns to Earth and joins the Avengers in Thor's place. You said his name was Thunderstrike though?: Odin created a new mace for Eric called Thunderstrike. (After he was manipulated into attacking the original Thor) Eric first uses the Thunderstrike mace against the villain Bloodaxe and is promptly defeated. Afterwards, Eric creates his own costume to distinguish himself from Thor, while keeping Thor’s reputation intact. Eric names himself Thunderstrike, after the mace itself. Eventually Eric defeats Bloodaxe, only to discover that Bloodaxe was actually Jackie Lukus, his current love interest. The curse of the Bloodaxe would eventually kill Eric. Annihilus Where did this thing come from?: Untold millennia ago, the Tyannans, a technologically-advanced semi-humanoid/leonine species of the antimatter universe the Negative Zone, seeded barren worlds with life spores. They had an accidnet though and crashed releasing the remaining spores before dying. Many generations later, one of those spores evolved into a weak insectoid creature. Significantly intelligent due to a mutation, the creature found the Tyannan starship wreckage and used a knowledge transference helmet to master the advanced Tyannan technology. This enhanced his intelligence and strength, creating a "Cosmic Control Rod" and body armaments. Obsessed with survival, the paranoid creature, which came to be known as Annihilus, set out to destroy any other living being he viewed as a possible threat to his existence. So who has he faced and what has he done?: Annihilus was primarily a Fantastic Four villain, but is often found battling other space faring heroes and villains. His goals are either to destory or conquer and he uses his Cosmic control Rod as his main source of power. Recently he was the leader of the Annihilation Wave which invovled every major space hero and villain. The results of this atrocity killed or destroyed The Kyln, The Nova Corps, Quasar, 90% of all Skrull Planets and Countless billions of many races. It was only stopped thanks to Galactus. Onomatopeia Who is this guy?: No personal characteristics are known about Onomatopoeia, including his real name or facial features. When his face was once partially uncovered it was seen that he is a caucasian male but that is the extent of the knowledge of him. Onomatopoeia is a serial killer who targets non-powered, vigilante superheroes. He earned his name because he imitates noises around him, such as dripping taps, gunshots etc. It seems that he may be able to perfectly imitate these sounds but that has been left ambiguous. Anything else?: His main foe seems to be the Green Arrow. He carries two semiautomatic handguns, a sniper rifle (which may or may not carry live ammo along with tranquilizer darts), an army knife, and is a skilled unarmed combatant. His usual outfit consists of black gloves, pants, and shirt, with a long black trench coat and a full, black hood decorated by concentric white circles. It is possible he has superhuman endurance as several arrows and a seven story drop did not slow him down at all.

Up next those that got 20 points and finished joint 111th ... The Spot Who is he?: As a scientist working for the Kingpin, Dr. Jonathan Ohnn was assigned to reproduce the radiation levels of the superhero Cloak to find a way to artificially mimic his powers. Instead he created a portal similar to the powers which caused a blackout and fearful of losing the discovery stepped int oit. He eventually returned with his portal powers and became a low level criminal. Has he done anything of note?: With the ability to use his space warps, the Spot can instantly move himself or any part of his body from one area to another over a theoretically unlimited distance via another dimension nicknamed "Spotworld." The Spot can control and manipulate the warps to almost any degree he wishes. He can expand or shrink them to any size, or he can join together multiple spots to form one larger warp. The spots are unaffected by gravity and can be placed against a surface or left suspended in mid-air. These powers however are not used by a true genius and The Spot is usually easily defeated by Spider-Man or anyone else he faces. Ironfist What can this guy do?: Plunging his fists into the molten heart of the dragon Shou-Lao the Undying infused the dragon's superhuman energy into Rand; this along with training by Lei Kung the Thunderer gave Rand the power of the Iron Fist, allowing him to summon and focus his chi (or natural energy) and enhance his natural abilities to extraordinary levels. The ultimate expression of this focus is the ability to concentrate his body's natural energies into his hand, manifesting as a supernatural glow around his clenched fist, making his fist "like unto a thing of iron." So concentrated, this "iron fist" can smash into its target with superhuman hardness and impact, while his hand becomes impervious to pain and injury. However, the feat of summoning the power required leaves Rand physically and mentally drained, unable to repeat the act for a time. So what has he done?: Ironfist is probably most well known for being one part of the duo Heroes for Hire with powerman. However he has had his own series over the years and fought a wide variety of foes and made several allies. He has also impersonated Daredevil whilst the original was in FBI custody. CLUE TIME!! - The Joker paralysed this bat. - One of Marvel's greatest heroes, died of Cancer. - The Word of God

Back again and now we hit joint 109th with 21 points ... Jesse Custer What's this guys issue?: Jesse is a small-town reverend who becomes fused with a powerful entity named Genesis, gifting him with the ability to order people to do whatever he commands. Using this power, he begins a journey of discovery and revenge across America, with the aim of forcing God to answer to his creation for his sins. Assisting Jesse in his travels is Tulip O'Hare, his gun-wielding girlfriend, and Proinsias Cassidy, a hard-drinking Irish vampire. Anything else we should know?: Standing in Jesse's way is a secret religious military organization mysteriously known as The Grail, as well as Jesse's own twisted family. Jesse is a loyal devotee to the Western film genre (best epitomized by the guiding spirit of John Wayne, whom only Jesse sees), an accomplished fist-fighter, and a cunning strategist. His tragic flaw perhaps is his strict observance of his code of honor. Batgirl I'd guess she lives in Gotham?: Your right, Batgirl is the name of several characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, depicted as female counterparts to the superhero Batman. In total there have been five batgirls over the years the most famous of thse is Barbara Gordon. Why should we know Barbara and who are the others?: The first was Betty Kane who was introudced as a love interest for Robin (she ws later retconned out of existence) The second is Barbara Gordon who was very popular during the silver age of DC comics but was also the victim of the Joker who shot her through the spine paralysing her. The third is Helena Bertinelli but she is forced to abandon the role by Batman. The fourth is Cassandra Cain a martial arts child prodigy who reads movement as apoosed to actual verbal reading. She was breifly a villain but has siunce come back to the side of good. Finally Charlotte Gage-Radcliffe was briefly Batgirl but has since being removed from the role and is now known as Misfit. Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) Who is this guy?: Mar-Vell is a member of the Kree, a militaristic alien race that is humanoid in appearance. A captain in the Kree Imperial Militia, Mar-Vell is initially sent to Earth as a spy. After arriving, Mar-Vell takes the identity of the recently deceased Dr. Walter Lawson, a scientist starting a position at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Posing as Lawson, Mar-Vell studies humanity's progress towards developing a means of space travel. After living among humans, however, Mar-Vell begins to empathize with them. He appears publicly in his Kree helmet and uniform to battle a Kree robot Sentry, ultimately defeating it. Onlookers, hearing the Sentry call him "Mar-Vell," believe him to be a new Earth-born superhuman adventurer named "Captain Marvel" and proclaim him a hero. So what can he do and has anything interesting happened to him?: Originally, Captain Mar-Vell had no superhuman powers, although he was somewhat stronger than a human due to his advanced Kree physiology. he then gained Superhuman strength, flight, cosmic awareness, solar energy absorption & projection and wielded the Nega-Bands. Captain Marvel died from cancer after being exposed to a nerve agent in a battle with Nitro.

At Joint 106th with 22 points these two guys made the grade ... War Machine WHo is this guy, he looks similar to Iron Man?: Initially a supporting character, Rhodes later assumed the mantle of Iron Man after Stark's lapse into alcoholism. The character would continue in a supporting role, and later resume the role of Iron Man, following Stark's purported death. After Stark's return to the role of Iron Man, Rhodes continued as a superhero and received a spinoff titled War Machine. In addition to being an accomplished pilot, mechanical engineer, and businessman, Rhodes derives multiple abilities from various hi-tech powersuits, either designed by Stark Industries or extraterrestrial in nature. Rhodes and Stark are often portrayed as devout friends, though the relationship is strained by Rhodes' continued doubts over Stark's questionable ethics. So how does his suit differ from Iron Man?: The "Variable Threat Response Battle Suit" is a carbon-composite-based armor which provides its user with superhuman strength and durabilty. The armor has an improved tactical computer systems and automatic targeting and weapons including Repulsors, multifunctional Unibeam, Pulse Bolt Generators, gatling gun, double-barreled cannon, flamethrower, Plasma Blade, Micro-Rocket Launcher, and Particle Beam Discharger. The suit also includes a Force Shield, forcefield-based stealth technology, boot-jet propulsion, and self-contained breathing system. Plastic Man Hey you posted double, elogated man was back at the start!: Nope this is Plastic Man a different character. One of Quality Comics' signature characters during the period historians and fans call the Golden Age of Comic Books, Plastic Man can stretch his body into any imaginable form. His adventures were known for their quirky, offbeat structure and surreal slapstick humor. When Quality Comics was shut down in 1956, DC Comics acquired many of its characters, integrating Plastic Man into the mainstream DC universe. So what can he do?: Plastic Man can stretch his limbs and body to superhuman shapes, lengths and sizes, with flexibility and coordination extraordinarily beyond the natural limits of the human body. He can become entirely flat so that he can slip under a door, use his fingers to pick conventional locks, pose as inanimate objects such as vehicles or pieces of furniture, and disguise himself by changing the shape of his face. There is no known limit to how far he can stretch his body. The only limitation he has relates to color. For all practical purposes, he is indestructible. He is able to withstand corrosives, punctures and concussions without sustaining injury (although he can be momentarily stunned). He is resistant to high velocities that would kill an ordinary person, as well as to blasts from energy weapons. On various occasions he has survived being melted down, turned into stone, frozen solid, and shattered into pieces, although some of these attacks do incapacitate him to the extent that he will need reassembling by his teammates. He is also seemingly immortal as he survived being seperated into millions of molecules on the ocaen floor for 3000 years.

Ok, now it's time for those that got 23 points and came joint 104th Abe Sapian Looks a bit Victorian, who is he?: Abe was formerly Langdon Everett Caul, a powerful businessman involved with a strange cult during the Victorian era. After retrieving a strange jellyfish-like deity from an underwater ruin, Caul and other gentlemen perform an arcane ritual that ends with the creature's release and Caul being turned into an Icthyo Sapien. He joins up with Hellboy after being saved from disection. He can breathe underwater has increased intelligence, is an excellent marksman and a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. I don't remember him being like that in the Hellboy film?: Well, in the movie, Abe is psychic, and is able to touch an object to see the past or the future that the item may hold (in a process called psychometry). Abe's genetic makeup gives him the power of ultra-sentience found in the most mysterious and intelligent underwater creatures. He also likes to eat rotten eggs. Superboy-Prime Who's this spin-off of Superman?: Superman-Prime is from the universe which contained the parallel Earth known as Earth-Prime, in which Superman and the other DC superheroes only exist as fictional characters. Unable to let go of his former life and his "destiny" as Earth's greatest hero, his convictions and morals are warped by years of solitude in a "paradise" dimension. So he's just a n evil superman then?: Well he does have some unique traits. He is immune to kryptonite as his planet never blew up thus none was created, he is also resistant to magic. He does however have a fear of The Flash Family and Superboy-Prime pounded on the barrier of reality. This assault causes ripples that alter reality, which is used as an explanation for character changes and retcons in DC continuity. The Lizard Ok so who is this reptile?: Curtis Connors was born in Coral Gables, Florida. He was a gifted surgeon who enlisted in the army and was sent off to war. He performed emergency battlefield surgery on wounded GIs, but his right arm was injured in a blast and had to be amputated. After his return to civilian life as a research technologist, he became obsessed with uncovering the secrets of reptilian limb regeneration and studied reptilian biology extensively. From his home in the Florida Everglades, he finally developed an experimental serum taken from reptilian DNA. He successfully regrew the missing limb of a rabbit and then, despite the warnings of his wife Martha, chose to test it on himself. Connors ingested the formula and his missing arm did indeed grow back. The formula had a side effect; Connors was subsequently transformed into a reptilian humanoid monster aka The Lizard. What else should we know?: He is a long time firend of both Peter Parker and Spider-man who has tried to save Curt from becoming the Lizard numerous times. As the Lizard he has several abilites, his strength is increased to superhuman levels. Likewise, his speed, stamina, agility and reflexes are also raised to a level equivalent to that of Spider-Man. He can also scale walls using a combination of the scores of sharp tiny claws on his hands and feet to create adhesive pads like those of a gecko lizard, and micro-scales that create molecular friction. He is highly resistant to injury due to his thick scaly hide. He can also mentally command reptiles to do his bidding (Usually to attack Spider-man) Next time we break the top 100!! So you get some clues - Super Cleavage is all you need to know - I am a genius and can possess anyone, ooh a white gorilla. - Damn you Captain America and Adhesive X - His murder starts one of the great comic book stories. - Don't play this man at pool, you will lose.

To put WhYsP out of his misery It's now time to enter the top 100 as the following all came joint 101st with 24 points. Power Girl Would you look at the size of those: A-hem, sorry got distracted by those massive ... (SOund of being slapped across the face). Okay ... Power Girl is the Earth-Two counterpart of Supergirl and the first cousin of the Earth-Two Superman. The infant Power Girl's parents enabled her to escape the destruction of Krypton. Although she left the planet at the same time that Superman did, her ship took much longer to reach Earth-Two. Possessing superhuman strength and the ability to fly, she is a member of the Justice Society of America and the team's first chairwoman. Power Girl sports a bob of blond hair, wears a distinctive white, red, and blue costume, and has an aggressive fighting style. So what's with the revealing dress style?:Power Girl explains her cleavage-window to Superman, revealing that "the first time I made this costume, I wanted to have a symbol, like you. I just… I couldn’t think of anything. I thought eventually, I’d figure it out. And close the hole. But I haven’t." At the same time, however, the issue highlights the humorous element when a man who Power Girl has rescued is so fixated upon her chest that he doesn't even look her in the eye to thank her. A similar treatment of the character can be seen when the heroes need to distract the Toyman while Batman and Superman battle Captain Marvel and Hawkman. Seeking a way to accomplish this task, Batman notes that their opponent is a thirteen-year-old boy, and all attention goes to Power Girl, prompting her response: "What's everyone looking at me for? How am I supposed to distract... oh." Ultra-Humanite Whats with the wierd looking gorilla?: The Ultra-Humanite is the first supervillain faced by Superman. He was designed to be the polar opposite of Superman: while Superman is a hero with superhuman strength, Ultra-Humanite is a criminal mastermind who has a crippled body but a highly advanced intellect. Superman first discovers Ultra-Humanite as the mastermind behind a series of crimes with criminals wielding advanced technological weapons. After a series of battles with Superman, the Ultra-Humanite is presumed killed. He was usurped in his role as main Superman villain by Lex Luthor. So if he died why is there a Groilla staring at me above?: Despite his supposed death the Ultra-Humanite actually has the power to transfer his brain into another body. Various bodies occupied over the years include actress Delores Winters, a giant insect, a Tyrannosaurus rex, Justice Society of America member Johnny Thunder, and a glass dome. but his most well known and famous body is that of a a mutated albino gorilla. When in these bodies he gains the powers of the creature. He is also a gifted genius and the inventor of a variety of technology. Baron Zemo With a name like that he has to be a Nazi: You would be correct Baron Zemo the 12th was indeed a Nazi supervillain who fought Captain America. The first Zemo fought both Captain America and his allies the Howling Commandos during World War II. A brilliant, if sadistic, scientific genius, Zemo created many weapons of mass destruction for Hitler's army, including a large-scale death ray cannon and Adhesive X. When Captain America confronted Zemo, to destroy his limited supply of Adhesive X so that the Nazis could not use it against Allied troops, Captain America threw his shield to release the adhesive from its vat, onto the ground. Unfortunately, Zemo was standing right next to the vat containing the chemical, pouring it over his hooded face. The adhesive quickly seeped inside and permanently attached the hood to Heinrich's flesh, preventing Zemo from ever removing his hood. Eventually he plotted and attempted in revenge on the defrosted Captain America but failed and was killed in a avalanche. Wait a second you said 'the first'?: Your quick today. There is indeed a second Baron Zemo and is probably more well known than the first. Zemo's legacy was revived by his son, Helmut J. Zemo, 13th Baron Zemo and he continued to try and gain revenge on Captain America for his father. However over the years he has changed, he led the Thunderbolts for a while and today has even reformed. Zemo, always told as a child that he was superior, now believes his father's Nazi ideals to be untrue, and that the only way to become superior is through righteousness. Zemo has a gifted intellect, with certain scientific expertise, excellent marksmanship, and extensive training in hand-to-hand combat. He is also a highly accomplished tactician and leader. Helmut has circuitry in his headband designed to disrupt psionic manipulation. He carried various rifles, and sometimes carries a hand-held spray-gun for Adhesive X, the most powerful bonding agent ever invented. The Moonstones grant Helmut Zemo a massive array of superhuman powers such as energy/gravity/light manipulation, molecular phasing, strength/durability augmentation, the ability to create spatial warps, flight and more. The Comedian This guy looks cool who is he?: The Comedian is a cigar-chomping, gun-toting vigilante-turned-paramilitary agent. During some of the series' most intense moments, he has shown himself to be a nihilist with little regard for morality or human life. It may even be possible that, because no motivation is ever stated, he only fights crime as an excuse to please a sadistic desire to commit violent acts. Where does he fit into the Watchmen story?: The story of Watchmen starts with the aftermath of a murder in 1985: a man named Edward Blake was beaten mercilessly and thrown through the window of his apartment, falling several stories to his death. A "costumed adventurer" named Rorschach begins independently investigating the murder. While searching Blake's apartment, Rorschach discovers a hidden closet containing a costume and other items that indicate that the murdered man was The Comedian. The main plot of Watchmen initially involves Rorschach's suspicion of a plot to kill costumed heroes ("masks"); his continuing investigation into Blake's murder leads to a much larger, more horrifying secret. 8-Ball Who is this nutcase?: The man who would later become 8-Ball was born in Duluth, Minnesota. A former defense contractor who designed missile propulsion systems, Jeff Hagees took to playing pool to relieve the stress of his job. He soon amassed large gambling debts, which aroused the suspicion of his employers, who thought he was selling company secrets to raise money to pay off his debts. Although they had no proof, Hagees' employers fired him. Combining his love of pool with his engineering talents, he fashioned a criminal identity for himself as 8-Ball, inventing his cue stick weapons, and engaging in a highly successful crime spree in New York with his gang So who fought him?: His main foe is Sleepwalker, although he has crossed paths with the likes of She-Hulk and the Hobgoblin. He mainly was interested in robbing banks and other financially lucrative schemes. He was eventually killed in revenge by The Wrecker for a crimelord.

I'm pretty certain when we get closer to number 1, the names and faces will look a bit more familiar.

Yeah don't worry there are some really well known guys coming up .... So at Joint 96th with 25 points ... Beta Ray Bill What the hell happened to Thor?: Nothing, this isn't Thor. Beta Ray Bill belongs to a race known as the Korbinites, who were almost wiped out when their galaxy exploded - a mishap that was caused by the Asgardian demonic entity Surtur. The Korbinites evacuated the last of their race via a fleet of warships, guarded by sentient ship called Skuttlebutt and a champion, Beta Ray Bill. Bill is a fusion of Korbinite and wild beast, a process that killed many Korbinites before it was perfected on him (although an insane predecessor "Alpha Ray", is known to exist). His ship is confronted by Thor when it approaches earth and thus Bill and Thor fight with Bill winning (Thor had accidentally returned to his human form). Bill picks up the hammer Mjolnir thus being deemed worthy. So what happened?:After a mix up by Odin who summons Bill thinking he is Thor, a new hammer named stormbreaker is made and given to Bill. Bill then helps against the forces of Surtur and goes on to have adventure of his own, he is currently a member of Omega Flight in Canada. His powers are nearly identical to Thor except he has a higher resistance to heat thanks to his Korbonite physiology. Radioactive Man Who is this guy?: Chen Lu is a nuclear physicist in the People's Republic of China, and is ordered to find a way to defeat the Thunder God Thor, who thwarts the Red Army's invasion of India. Hiding away in a laboratory, Lu exposes himself to small doses of radiation until he is able to withstand a massive barrage. Becoming a living "Radioactive Man," Lu displays his new found powers to his superiors and travels to New York City to battle Thor. While the newly-named Radioactive Man is able to initially match Thor, the Thunder God creates a vortex to transport Lu back to China, where he apparently self-detonates. So he died?: No, he survived and went on to join various groups of villains from The Masters of Evil to The Mandarin. Eventually he got fed up of being defeated and decided to join the Thunderbolts in an attempt to reform, so far he has had more success on the right side of the law. Lu is exceptionally intelligent and a brilliant scientist, and as the Radioactive Man can control radiation along the entire spectrum. Lu can emit potentially lethal amounts in concentrated blasts or across a wide area; absorb and convert radiation to physical strength; and form force fields that are powerful enough to deflect Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Next Time: - The Ancient One did more than cure his hands. - The 'Son' of Mephisto - The fire resistant man (Uh-Oh!)

Correct at joint 94th with 26 points we have the following three .... Doctor Strange Who is this guy, I'm guessing he dabbles in magic?: Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Universe, responsible for defending it from mystic threats. He is a master of the mystic arts, using his abilities to battle evil magicians and other supernatural villains. He is also often consulted by other superheroes on supernatural matters. So he's a bit good at magical things then?: In the Marvel canon, there are no clearly defined limits of what Dr. Strange can or cannot do. The stories themselves contradict one another: Dr. Strange is shown easily altering memories, or having complete mastery over time by either stopping it all together and rewinding it or traveling into the past in one story, then stating that his magic cannot do so in another instance. In some appearances he can stand against something as powerful as the Infinity Gauntlet, and in others he appears defenseless against simple physical attack by another person. That is why on soem days he fights foes on a par with the Trapster whilst on other days he takes on immeasurably powerful beings such as Shuma-Gorath. Despite this Doctor Strange readily uses several enchated items which allow him to do things such as levitate, concentrate his magical abilites, or see through any deception or illusion. He is also a member of the secret Illuminati, is aided by his allies Wong, Clea and the Ancient One and has a long runnning rivalry with Baron Mordo. Blackheart Should I be scared?: Yes, Blackheart is a powerful demon of the highest order, created by Mephisto, probably from the essence of Darkforce. He possesses vast inherent supernatural powers, including superhuman strength, speed, and endurance which are magical in nature. He's totally invulnerable to anything except most powerful forces in universe. He also has telekinetic and telepathic powers, and can levitate, teleport inter-dimensionally, change his size and physical form, enter and leave different planes of existence and dimensions at will, heal himself at the sub-molecular level, and has the ability to generate various forms of energies for destructive purposes such as powerful concussive blasts of black energy. He also possesses very high intelligence that makes him near-omniscient. So what does he like to do?: When he isn't clashing with heroes who he wants to corrupt Blackheart can be found trying to usurp his father Mephisto from his throne in hell. He has a long running rivalry with Ghost Rider and is a constant blight on the Earth in general. He is currently trapped under the Hellfire Club in New York thanks to magical restraints. Asbestos Man WHo is this moron?: As the world's foremost analytical chemist, Kasloff felt someone with his scientific ability should be treated like a king. Embarking upon a life of crime using a liquid solvent he developed, Kasloff soon realized that he needed an experienced criminal's help to execute his heists. Kasloff concluded that he would earn the underworld's respect if he defeated Human Torch, so he developed a suit of flame-resistant super-asbestos and confronted the Torch. Unaffected by Torch's powers, Asbestos Man scored a victory over the hero, and soon plotted to rob the State National Bank. But the Torch used his powers to consume all the oxygen in the area, forcing Asbestos Man to surrender. Asbestos Man confessed to his crimes and was taken to prison. Anything else we should know?: not really, being a man with an asbestos suit it is highly likely the man died from the toxic nature of the chemicals although this was never mentioned in the cmoics. He used a speicla net for hurling fireballs back at the Torch and his suit was thick enough to withstand bullets.
