So...am I the only adult male who doesn't care whether or not Dark Knight outgrosses Titanic? I'm here! Big money in the box office does not change my personal opinion on what makes the better viewing material* *By which I mean good porn vs. an Academy Award winning film.

Wanna know what's really bad? I've not seen it yet. Seriously. So it'll make another 8 bucks on the rerelease.

Ok, I'm sorry if this is incredibly rude, but... Who/what the smurf is Doctor Zhivago and why the smurf is it in the top smurfing 10 selling movies of all time? It's a book. It's considered an all-time classic, and the movie was highly regarded as well, hence why a lot of people went to see it.

The Dark Knight is only being re-released into IMAX theatres, so I'm doubtful that IMAX sales will boost it up like 80 million.

For the record, the best selling DVD of all time is Finding Nemo. It's sold about 40 million copies. Can The Dark Knight beat that? I doubt it. .. if I have to buy 39 million of those SOB's myself I will! The Dark Knight should be able to outsell Finding Nemo damnit! ~Kyle Edit: Someone should make a film where The Joker travels back in time and kills Jack and Rose, and then blows up The Titanic. How much money do you think that would make at the box office

I just want everyone to know that adjusted figures are a record to their own.
There is All-Time and All-Time Adjusted. TDK is pretty high up on the Adjusted Chart as well considering it's harder for new movies to go up that chart.
Neither one is the end all be all list. Infact they kind of work hand in hand. Studios usually deal in the All-Time chart and not All-Time Adjusted though because they only worry about real money, not theorhetical dollars.

Technically I would say Titanic deserves it's spot because nothing else until now has really come close in over ten years. I would say Dark Knight was a good movie but it also had a big advantage that Titanic didn't have and that is the Internet. Sure internet was around back then but I bet half the people on this board didn't even have it yet. I would think not having the internet would be an advantage. With Dark Knight you could see it online not too long after it came out in theaters. You could also atleast read a very detailed plot synopsis of the movie...
