One of the reasons I like forums so much is cause you can go back and directly see what a bunch of people were saying at different times. Can get the viewpoint from back then and not in hindsight.
Anyone else like reading old archives of forums? I love it. Anytime I come across a forum thats been up since like atleast 2002 I ALWAYS bookmark it and usually spend alot of time reading on it. From major news to regular stuff like people talking about movies or TV shows.
I just found one forum that goes back to 98. I just spent a bunch of time reading the posts around 9/11. Its weird to see the 9/10 topics and then just go a page over and see all the topics on 9/11. Especially weird reading the 9/11 posts around 6 A.M and then reading the ones a couple hours later.
Im about to go read topics around Y2K, but I thought I would post about it first and see if anyone else likes reading stuff like this...

Yeah I'd like some links or quotes too please, especially anything around the time the phantom menace came out, I'm sure the initial reaction from fans was positive.
I also like old threads about the potential for the Wii to revolutionise video games, so many hopes and dreams all shattered into tiny pieces, including mine.

This will sound weird, but I'd be interested in reading some of the posts from 9/10 and the day of 9/11. I was in the 8th grade and didn't know much about forums at the time. If there is some sort of rule against posting stuff like that, than don't bother.

I recently dug through the archives to see peoples reactions when the Benoit news came out. It was strange reading peoples reactions, almost like it was happening all over again.

I recently dug through the archives to see peoples reactions when the Benoit news came out. It was strange reading peoples reactions, almost like it was happening all over again. Going over that particular period here doesn't give a really accurate picture, as we have an entire section set aside that only mods can access that contains MOST of the Benoit-related stuff from those days, plus we shut the WWE forum down for the night it happened so there was a long period of silence and people calming down.

I just like linking back to old threads when inevitably someone stars a "200X: Worst Year Ever for WWE" thread in December. it's happened 3 years in a row.

We just bash you for 15 pages. It's up to 16 now. I am deeply ashamed, Mr. Meat. Even Skeletor would never bash the drones members of an Internet forum in a super-secret thread.
