Im always seeing these deodorant commercials that its prescription level deodorant/anti-perspirant but without an prescription.
Is there really prescriptions for deodorant out there? And why? Its not like theres any danger...

A person's self esteem is definitely a driving factor in many, many products that have to be medically dealt with. Otherwise, cosmetic surgery wouldn't have an industry.

Dude, do this:
Take a shower at night, put the deodorant after the shower (make sure of course your armpits are dry), and then the deodorant will take hold when you sleep. It helped me a good deal!

Yeah, there are. Bad breath and pimples aren't deadly either, in most cases where people are prescribed medication.

I don't know about deodorant, but there is such a thing as prescription strength antiperspirant. A coworker uses it because if he didn't, his shirt would get a pit stain in 15 minutes.

I have used this type of deodarant in the past (before I found out that I have hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating in the armpit region). Once I started using the medicine given to me by my doctor, though, things have greatly improved (as in, no more sweaty pits).
