Former WWE World Tag Team champion Bob "Hardcore" Holly is current in rehab. Holly was allegedly busted stealing pain killers out of another WWE superstar's bag. WWE executive John Laurinaitis was notified of the incident, and Holly was sent to de-tox in Atlanta, GA.

Well, he's not the first. How was he passing wellness tests with a painkiller addiction, though?

Well, he's not the first. How was he passing wellness tests with a painkiller addiction, though? Well you can't really say they've used him since Night of Champions, he probably wasn't even there . That or I guess some painkillers aren't tested for.

Given the nature of wrestling, I'm guessing painkillers aren't one of their violations. Or he could have had a prescription and ran out, so he had a reason to not violate it.

^ Yeah, I'm gonna go with maybe as the sport is what it is, some painkillers aren't tested for.

It'd be a shame if they didnt test for painkillers, Im assuming a lot of premature deaths have come from their overuse.

Not to kick a man when he's down or anything, but why does this guy have a job?
He's been with the company about 40 years and has never been over a day in his life.

He should be fired.
Not for the pain killer addiction, but for stealing stuff from someones bag.
As soon as his rehab stint is done, I'd send him packing.

Painkillers are tested for, it's painkillers you are taking that you do NOT have a prescription for that they are looking for. Or if you are taking more then you are prescribed. I believe Chris Masters 2nd Wellness failure was for taking more then he was prescribed.
Holly could have been prescribed some, but left them somewhere or something and decided to find some from somebody else, and got caught doing it.

The fact that there is no mention of the guy whose meds were stolen being suspended leads one to the inevitable conclusion that the meds themselves were not considered a violation of wellness. The fact that he was caught pilfering them (and as some have suggested, it might simply be because he forgot to bring his own with him) is classic addictive behaviour. Big props to the E for trying to help him with his problem, rather than cutting him loose. I'm not Holly's biggest fan, but I hope he gets better soon. Then he can be future endeavoured for sucking and being a charisma vacuum, without the need for speculation about his drug habit

I wont push Bob out the door yet unless he keeps doing it. I think he has one more angle left in him (Him & Duggan vs. Simply Priceless) and after that, I would have him gone.
I hope Bob gets the help he deserves despite the fact that I personally dislike the guy.

How was he passing wellness tests with a painkiller addiction, though? Well you can take pain killers, in a legal way when you show them your prescription, and you also don't have high levels of the pain killer in your system. A lot of people forget that you can use pain killers legally, otherwise they wouldn't be prescribed. Hardcore Holly was over, he was over back in 2004 in his feud with LEsnar. IWC "ear muffs" always talk about the unoverness of people who were over. THen talk about how underutilized un-over wrestlers like Jerry Lynn were.
