I ROFLMAO'ed when I heard JR's music and saw Charlie walking down the ramp. To see the balloon or whatever it was he had under his Sooners jersey, plus the glasses.
I love where they're going with Charlie Haas.
So, since he did the shilling bit with CHL last week and JH this week, if he ever does HHH, will he make mention of WWEshop, like HHH did with DX?

Wasn't it said the reason he hasn't been given a push despite his great wrestling talent is that he lacks charisma? He has been absolutely hilarious the past month.

When he first came out he got zero reaction from the crowd. It reminded me of Billy Gunns Rockabilly debut. The crowd only began to warm up to him thanks to some fine wrestling. I for one am tired of wrestlers imitating other wrestlers especially when it involves a talented mat wrestler like Haas.

Maybe, but being a talented mat wrestler alone isn't going to get very far in WWE.

I would have preferred the real J.R. came out and wrestled.... but alas its the impossible dream.

i was kinda hoping good ol JH would hold onto the mic during the match and start talking over Cole with the play by play, though he did go over briefly to the announce area at one point. was also hoping to hear something about someone getting a mudhole stomped into them.
maybe next week he'll be good ol CHL, sort like two face, where his cowboy hat is half white and half black with barbeque sauce in one hand and mamajumama in the other as the slobberknocking wrestling god

I thought it was funny when he came out, but it was pretty disappointing when he started talking.
The stuff he said to imitate JR just wasn't funny at all, even though you'd think it'd be easy enough. Killed the crowd dead.
Fortunately for him they seemed to react well enough when he tagged in during the match.
Might be best in the future if he doesn't say much, just lets his appearance and physical imitations do the work for him. As CHL he didn't really say much other than the website name, and it worked well.

I thought this was the first Haas comedy bit that...well...bit. And why? Because he didn't have a vocal impression to go with the look. Just stuffing your shirt with pillows isn't enough. Ask Rich Little.
That's right, I said RICH LITTLE. I'm old!

Why were people not gathering with pitchforks and torches like when Vince Russo did the same character with Ed Ferrara as "Oklahoma"?

Why were people not gathering with pitchforks and torches like when Vince Russo did the same character with Ed Ferrara as "Oklahoma"? This time his illness wasn't made fun of.

Thank god Haas didnt do that. When he first walked out I was saying please dont do the half paralyzed face thing like that idiot Ferrara. This was Haas weakest imitation so far.

I thought this was the worst one yet. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good either. As soon as JR's music hit I actually thought that he was going to be wrestling in the match. I felt like a complete idiot 5 seconds later. But yeh, the accent, the mannerisms were just...not JR. I did like the bit where he went over to the announce table briefly to talk to Michael Cole but again it could have been better if he could have done a decent JR impression. His wrestling though was very sharp.
And, off topic, but this week I realised how well Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are doing on commentary. I was expecting a train wreck but so far they've been consistently good, Cole especially as I've never been fond of him.

I thought it was kinda embarassing, the crowd was so dead silent... I'm with you brother. I thought this was by far his weakest impersonation yet and the crowd just wasn't that into it. The oversized pillow (whatever) tom ake him seem obese was also slightly tasteless and seemed like another cheap shot at good ol' J.R. I realize he's overweight, but he's not that[/t] overweight.
