I dunno, I always marked when he locked it in. It was just, I dunno, neat.

There's already an unpopular WWE opinions on this board. LOL, JK. I never had a problem with it and actually was into a few of the challenges.

I think Masters had a great look, was developing as a performer, and could have been a major player in the WWE. His tag team with Carlito should have elevated them both as heels. Maybe not a faction, but just as young guys that would watch out for each other.
So bring back Masters one day, if not the challenge

I liked him, he somehow brought in the childhood mark in me. He kinda felt like the modern day Luger to me, and Luger was my favorite wrestler when I was a kid (sad, I know lol).

I always was a Masters mark, I used to really look forward to the Masterlock Challenge (still can't believe they wasted that on Lashley).
I really wanted him to win the Elimination Chamber at New Years Resolution.

I miss Masters in general. Agreed, I always liked him. In fact it was me and I THINK Kneelift who jointly came up with the idea of him being a meathead sidekick of DX. Sadly that wasn't to be.

I liked the masterlock and his match with HBK was great, however I hated everything else about him.

Hindsight is a fine thing - he got more hatred than anyone back in the days, and now... love. I, for one, liked him when he dropped muscle mass and started using various suplexes to finish.

I miss Masters in general. Same here. He'll be back in the WWE, though. He's young, was improving in the ring, and took complete responsibility for getting fired. They'll hire him back. And hopefully they'll give him the awesome entrance back.

the first time i thought about masterlock challenges since lashley broke it was when jbl sat in the ring in a chair monday night.
i probably wouldnt hate it if they brought it back but theres no time. i don't think kelly kelly has had a match in a few weeks and they need that before a masterlock challenge

I for one always stood up for Masters. Its funny how at the time, everyone seemed to hate him... but now that hes done plenty of people "wish he'd come back" I love how that works 8)
I think he had kind of a 'damned if you do' deal. They brought him in and pushed him because of his massive looking physique. After his "wellness violation" return (when he dropped a lot of that look) he was turned into a jobber, when they moved him to Smackdown... and he started to gain all that muscle tone back, he started to get pushed again... until his eventual release due to a second wellness violation. Honestly... he was screwed regardless of what he did.
I for one would love to see a totally clean Chris Masters pop back up in the WWE someday. He could dominate ECW before eventually going back to the Raw Brand. He could be an awesome main event heel... plus I think he kinda looked like Payton Manning.

I always liked Masters... I don't know why... I didn't really talk him up or anything probably I couldn't really explain WHY I liked him... <_< >_>
maybe I just marked for the retro full nelson finisher,
and yes I was slightly annoyed that they had Lashley break the masterlock with no build/follow up...

Getting pretty much buried on live TV after returning from his suspension is what killed any chance of Masters accomplishing anything.
