I just finished reading Paul E's report on the state of WWE, and as usual, the man always puts it spot on. The note I was interested in was when they was to suggest bands to start Wrestlemania (which one? no one knows), Paul noted 'System Of A Down'. This is such an interesting choice to bring a highly political band into the said ring to bust out tunes such as 'B.Y.O.B (Bring Your Own 'Basketballs')' and 'Violent Pornography', yeah, of course I like System, listened to all there albums (Hypotize and Mezmerize are my favourites), but for them to start such an event as Wrestlemania, It seems pretty off, you wouldn't really want guys who slag off the US polictics in front of thousands of young John Cena fans.
This made me to think what bands would be amazing to start off Wrestlemania. If I was in Paul E's position and Vince said that, I'd say one name and one name only 'Pendulum'. These guys are rising for world domination in the Drum&Bass/Rock Scene and could bring a perfect fit. So fellow crappers, what bands would YOU wanna see at a Wrestlemania?

Disturbed.
It would make Steve Austin's appearance that much special. We'd get to hear his best theme one last time.
But seriously, I don't know...Metallica? No...album will be too old by then...let's see...Fozzy!
No, seriously, I don't have a clue. I have an ungodly horrible feeling that Paul E's article will be a prediction, and it will be The Jonas Brothers. In which case, I wil skip WrestleMania for the first time in my life.

Foreigner The Guess Who Alphabet Whitesnake Joan Jett & The Blackhearts England Dan and John Ford Coley
Either of those would make an excellent opening Wrestlemania band.

Since it's based in Texas they keep on playing Kid Rock 'Cowboy' Just a question wasn't an instrumental version of that song used a Jeff Jarretts theme in WCW? Seems ironic that WWE are using an old Jarrett theme to promote their biggest pppv of the year. For those who dont believe me:

How about Mastodon? They are a pretty snazzy, heavy band and aren't overly generic.
