Just got the news that former drummer for The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Mitch Mitchell was discovered dead today at the age of 61. Mitch was a talented jazz drummer eccentric introduced to Hendrix by Chas Chandler. Jimi became so fond of Mitchells drumming that he kept him on even after he split up the Experience and formed his "band of gypsys" line up (the backing group he played at Woodstock with).
