Firefox works so well, but I so ardently despise the layout and format.

I have had 50 tabs open once and it ran decent.
My only beef with FF is that sometimes I'll turn off my computer and when I come back I lost all my damned bookmarks. No idea how to get them back, and it's happened several times.

No idea how to get them back, and it's happened several times. I had that happen to me a couple of times so now I use the Google Bookmarks ad on so they are stored there and I save a copy once a month with the Import/Export option.

I've been using Firefox for a few years now and love it. Never had a problem.
Anybody using Google Chrome? How is it?

I'm with you 100% Bob. I despise Firefox. I downloaded it because everyone said it was far superior than IE. While I never had any problems at all with IE,I decided to give it a shot. It froze up in the first five minutes I had it. I gave it multiple tries only to have it constantly freeze up. I never have had this problem with IE. I took Firefox off of my computer. I blogged about it a couple months ago on my Blogspot. I will never return to Firefox.

Maybe it was something on your computer, and NOT FF?
Just sayin.

I prefer Opera, that is all. I use Opera as well, when I tried Firefox on my other computer it would just freeze and shut down

Maybe it was something on your computer, and NOT FF? Just sayin. I don't know about Bob's case but I don't think so on mine since IE worked perfectly fine and always has. Plus,I did forget to mention in my previous post, that my cousin's fiancee had the same problem. I housesitted for them a couple months ago and she told me to feel free to use their computer and such. I just asked her what browser she was using and she said that she had IE. She said she had Firefox before and she had a major problem of it freezing up on her. She said this without me even bringing up my problem with Firefox. Of course,I shared my story with her after the fact.

I prefer Opera, that is all. Same. Since version 5. The reason Opera is better than other browsers is because it's version 9 already. Internet Explorer is barely version 8 and Firefox is 3. And don't get me started on that Chrome thing. It isn't even version 1 yet! As for the OP's problem. I'd try cleaning up the cache and reinstalling firefox and running without plug-ins to to eliminate the problem *expects blank stare* IE isn't version 8. There's version 7 and then the new Internet Explorer version Crappy Flawed The Hell Out of Web Browsing Beta 2. Seriously, don't touh IE 8 Beta 2. I dl'ed it yesterday, didn't use the comp a whole lot and ended up deleting it today. Everytime I tried to right click on a pic, it locked up. Half the sites I tried to go to, I had to click a stupid button to "view it with previous IE as it wasn't compatible". ...And I have Vista Home Premium. It's just seriously designed by idiots who are apparently trying to make a square wheel. I dig Opera, a lot more than I did previous versions of Firefox. Then again, I still use IE most of the time out of laziness.

Internet browser fan boys are the worst type of fanboys in the world Its not a fanboy thing with me, I have IE, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. Opera happens to the the fastest so I use it the the most. Its only real problem is occasional compatibility issues, but thats to be expected when you're not used as much as other browsers.

I don't hate IE, as some things still don't run perfectly on Firefox, but FF's definitely my main browser.
Now, one thing that does suck about Firefox is that it is a resource whore. Especially if you're on Vista, Firefox won't be ideal on a system without a decent amount of RAM.

I had issues with Firefox, as well, so I switched to using Opera and really don't think I'll ever go back to using anything else unless its a page that requires IE.
Opera's fast, clean and looks professional and complete.

I've been using Firefox for a few years now and love it. Never had a problem. Anybody using Google Chrome? How is it? it's great. they have this incognito feature where you can do anything you want and it wont show up on your browsing history. perfect for a bored guy who shares a computer with his wife.

Firefox is absolutely useless. If I have more than one tab open for more than five minutes Firefox freezes up, then it says it's not responding. It sucks! Anyone else have this problem? This happens to me only when I'm on youtube. I still use Firefox but I do like Opera.
