Right now I am having two pretty major computer problems (at least to me).
Problem one, my firewall will just turn off at random intervals without me actually doing it.
Problem two, I try to defrag my hard drive and it won't let me. It says that windows cannot oopen the disk defragmenter.
Anyone have any idea what the problem could be or how I could fix it.
I also tried to do a complete system restore and restore to an earlier date and I had no luck with that either.
Thanks for any help you guys and gals may be.

What antivirus software are you running (if any)?
Edit: If its Kaspersky, there's a known issue (by users, not admitted by the company) that prevents you from defragging. Try booting your computer in Safe Mode and running a defrag. The firewall may also be related to your antivirus changing settings to its liking.

What version of Windows are you running?
I've ran into a few problems with comps that just didn't wanna defrag. Most were on Windows 2000. But yeah, I recommend trying the safe mode defrag.
