Can anyone recommend me any health or nutrition books? Not for working out or anything, but actual books with information regarding nutrition, or health. It can even be specific, like talking about vitamins or even a certain food. I need to get a list in for my Human Nutrition, Health and Fitness class. ------------
I know whenever I make a thread asking for educated or helpful answers on a wrestling message board, it always comes up as a fail, getting burried in the next page within 5 minutes or I get answers like "Bewbz". But this is the only message board I go on, so I might as well give it a shot, as there might be a few health conscious folks in here who can help a person out.
So if you help me, thank you in advance. =)

Sadly, can't help, just sympathizing.

Try the YOU Series. Such as YOU: The Owner's Manual. It's a medium size book that covers each system in your body, and has a chapter on fitness and nutrition, in more of a, "What do I eat to stay healthy?", rather than a "I want abs" kind of way. There are sequals, most of which appeal to Oprah's audiance, on which one of the Authors, a Dr. Oz, shills the book a lot. But it was a good basic read.

A book I enjoyed is called "Survival of the Sickest". A pretty neat book about how illness is actually beneficial to us in the long run.
Maybe not quite what you're looking for, but worth a read anyway.
