It's December 1st, and that means that for me, Christmas has officially begun. And with the first day of December, comes the first day of the Advent Calendar. You know, that calendar, where you open the panels and behind it there's a picture of something Christmassy. Sometimes, there's also a little toy or chocolate or something. Well I thought that this year I'd do an Advent Calendar of my own. Everyday of December till Christmas Eve, I'll open a panel to reveal the Christmas related Youtube video. So what's behind door number one?.... DECEMBER 1ST

That should have been number 24, it's the mecca of Christmas ads. Whining aside though, great idea.

I'll probably just post whatever random idea I think of on the particular day (I don't even know what tomorrow's one will be ), but I did mean for this to be Dec 1. That ad to me is always the first sign that Christmas has arrived.

Last year I bought my brother in law the "Wisconsin Advent Calendar"
It was a big wooden block with 24 doors... and behind every door was one of those 1 Shot bottles of different types of Whiskey.

AWESOME! I'm totally looking forward to this.
And it couldn't have come at a better time for me. My grandma passed away Wednesday and she always made sure we had one of those nifty advent calendars with the chocolate behind the doors. So Rock On!

Awesome idea. The advent calender makes me nostalgic for my younger days when my mom would get them.

Excellent! In our area, the number was very close to our home number, so my brother and I would flip out every time the commercial came on.
