But what is amazing as I spoke on Piper. Is that he is another guy that fans like so much now. This guy went from most hated guy in the 80s. To a man who could never be a heel. He had a short term in WCW. In the WWE he still was cheered a lot in his 03 run. Even when he was a heel then he still was over as a face. I think that's because, at least in the WWE and possibly other places, once you reach genuine "legend" status, you're a face to the crowd. You could have walked to the ring every day of your career and powerbombed toddlers and pregnant woman, 30 years later you'll likely get cheered. I think Sting is certainly the same way. There's no one on that legend level on the roster that could make the crowd hate him and he's too late in his career to really make a believable heel turn.
