I know that this is unpopular on this forum:
I hated, absolutely DISPISED the Crash Holly 24/7 hardcore championship era. It was so cartoony and I just really thought it was dumb. Not saying there wasn't comedy portions in the first part of the the belt's existence, I just hated the 24/7 rule.
However, the first year and a half was magical to me. I literally watched Raw and bought PPVs to see the battles between guys like Snow, Holly, Bossman and Road Dogg.

My favorite Rock feuds were the ones with Jericho and Snow. They were well-rounded with good matches and great character development. In fact, I miss Al Snow.

I find it funny that people hate John Cena, even though he has top quality matches and appeals to audience the WWE wants to appeal to,
i never really liked Stone Cold Steve Austin

2000 was a more entertaining year for the WWF than the much-lauded 1997 was.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinon, but I think they could've gone real far with The Mordechai gimmick. And I'm all for it returning.

Toward the end it wasn't too bad though.

2000 was a more entertaining year for the WWF than the much-lauded 1997 was. 2000 was THE best year of my 20+ years watching the WWF/E.

I think it is a shame that Glacier didn't get over. I liked the gimmick.

As far as 97 goes, I think its so tauted as being the best because it was so raw at the time. When I watch old RAWs I find myself more intrigued with the 97 stuff than the 2000 because by 2000 it seemed much more accepted and streamline, the things they were doing that is. In 97, the sets and all were more campy, it had just a gritty, dirty, raw feel to it.
On the Hardcore Holly/Crash Holly thing, they were OVER. We used to talk as much in school about Hardcore and Crash as we did The Rock. I also agree with the fact that there were times I was more enamored with the midcarders like Road Dogg or Val on PPV than the main event.
One thing that bothers me, and I may be wrong here, is when I see people posting on this forum about let's just say for instance Hogan's drawing power in the early 90s. You have people who actually remember this time period give their opinion. Then you have people born in 1993 proceed to tell these people how wrong they are because they read a differing opinion on a website. Not saying you can't give an observation on history before your time, people do it all the time, its what happens with any history before 1900. However, if there were people still alive that were present at Gettysburg, I would be hard pressed to tell them that they were wrong about how things went down when I wasnt even there. Just a little pet peeve of mine.
