Since the last one hit 30 with no flame wars, I figured I'd start the next one.
So, I liked the lWo, based on the talent alone, it could've been awesome had it not been an nWo ripoff.
Also, I do think that it's awesome that Punk is champion, but I like heel Punk champion better for some reason.
Anyhoo, your turn.

There's a reason the old thread got closed. We're basically repeating ourselves.
As for an unpopular opinion, I miss the Wolfpac. I thought they were the greatest thing in wrestling. Seeing Nash and Hall go back to being Hogan's bitches (Fingerpoke of Doom) was enough in my 9-year-old mark head to make me quit wrestling for 3 years. (eerily enough, I returned to it the night of Cena's debut. Still not sure how that happened...)

Just because you are a mark for Puro, Chikara, ROH etc....doesnt mean its better than WWE
TNA workrate>>>>WWE workrate (most of the time)
WWE will never go out of business from another company
WWECW is serving the same purpose as the original ECW. Making new stars and redefining established stars
The original ECW didnt have tables ladders and chairs in EVERY match...so why shit on WWECW for doing the same
Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne could be the next Punk (ECW wise)
Alot of matches posted as GOAT in WC forums aren't really that great (and i try to keep an open mind)
Goldberg/DDP = Rey Mysterio/Guerrero at Halloween Havoc
WWE is not the all time evil it is made out to be
Vince needs competition for a better product
ROH will never be a major...
LARRY SWEENEY IS A F'N GOD, IF WWE DOESNT CAPITALIZE ON THIS MAN THE WORLD WILL BLOW UP
Despite some ppl's rose colored ideas about the original ECW, alot of 1996, 97, 98, cont'd still holds up today compared to WWE
Samoa Joe shouldve been given the title back when he was in the X Division
Claudio reminds me of HHH somehow
GOAT match 96-97 HBK vs 98-99 RVD vs 05-06 AJ Styles/ Ladder Match..... a man can dream
Hogan vs Austin would still sell today even if the match was indy level bad

I still don't know how the lWo was put on the air because it pretty much was a real life feeling backstage that the Hispanic workers were to Bischoff just a low to low midcard attraction versus any main event potential. And the way some of their promo's went.. that sentiment really came out from Eddie especially.

Samoa Joe shouldve been given the title back when he was in the X Division This can't possibly qualify as an Unpopular Opinion as it is, in fact, a Universal Truth.

I respect Ric Flair's accomplishments, but I think there are a lot of guys that are better technically in the ring than him. A couple of guys that come to mind are Bret Hart and Chris Benoit.
Hulk Hogan is the biggest name in the history of pro wrestling. Without him, Vince would have fallen on his face and wrestling events would still be in dingy smokey arenas.

Yes, but what separates Flair from those two is that Flair was the total package(sorry Lex). He had the looks, he could give great interviews, and he could get it done in the ring. There are dozens of guys I would rank above Flair just on in-ring merit, though.

1. Sid Vicious and Lex Luger were two of the most over and interesting wrestlers of all time, yet they get an undue amount of crap due to a perceived lack of workrate.
2. Both ODB and Awesome Kong would be more over if they were in WWE than any of the current WWE divas if they kept their current characters.
3. Samoa Joe would be a mid-carder in WWE and would be used similiar to how Taz was.
4. Kimona was the sexiest female wrestling personality of all time with Terri Runnels a close second.
5. Wrestling was at its best structure during the mid 80's. You had one major national product in the WWF, but you still had major territories such as AWA, NWA, and WCCW. It is tough to freshen up a product by bringing in new wrestlers with WWE dominating with the only competition being from a mediocure TNA and never will be major promotions such as ROH, etc.
6. Bruno Sammartino vs Larry Zybysco was the best executed fued in history.
7. There may have been better wrestlers than Ric Flair at some point, but ask this question to Bret Hart, Mick Foley, Scott Steiner, Shane Douglas, and his other detractors: How good of a match will you be able to have at 59 years of age? That question there more than anything makes Flair the best of all time.
8. Great Khali would have been a major international superstar in the 1970's. Andre the Giant would have been nothing special if he competed today.

Bret Hart sucks on the mic. HBK is the GOAT Benoit is top 10 alltime regardless what happened. Triple H is more deserving of the championship over everyone on SmackDown thats active. Ric Flair I didn't like but thats maybe cuz I first saw him in 2001 ECW sucks. The New ECW that is. Mark Henry still sucks. John Cena is literally one of the worst mic workers in the WWE, he used to be one of the best.... Hulk Hogan sucks. Bret Hart is honestly the most overrated worker of all time. Morrison and Miz are funny but not THAT funny. I liked Santinos face run. HBK vs Angle is seriously one of the best feuds of all time. HBK really needs another run. Plies is decent

Vince McMahon is the best heel. Ever.
Randy Orton is one of the best heels today, in and out of the ring.
WWE dropped the ball on Santino's intial IC title run. It could have been so much better.
Mick Foley isn't that good of an announcer.
The Lashley/Umaga match at WM 23 was overshadowed by Taker/Batista, but was just as good if not better.

But the fact that he was such a great character, so good at interviews, and above average in the ring is what made him great. Plenty of people are better than him in one of those aspects, but not many(if any) are better than him in all those.

The 3 greatest heel turns in history
3. Fill in your favorite here
2. Vince McMahon after WM 14 with Austin
1. Hogan @ BATB
Wargames needs to comeback, but the last few matches were sucked
Jericho will never be as over as he should be.......thank HHH for taking the title back that Monday nite that never happened
Eddie Guerrero played a freaking heel psycho almost as good as Brian Pillman..think about that for a second.

1. I like Chris Masters. 2. I liked Kenzo Suzuki, and I think his claw/STO was frickin' sweet. 3. I think Foley would be 1000x less revered if he didn't write a book. 4. I like the match, but I think HIAC '98 damaged the wrestling business more then helped it. I preferred it when only one chairshot was needed to take out an opponent. 5. Sting hasn't had a great match since 1994. He would have been long gone had it not been for the Crow gimmick. 6. Heel Bikertaker was my favorite champion of the last 10 years. Although Orton and Edge are coming close. 7. I miss tag team double-team finishers. Bring back the power plex! 8. I liked Kurt better when his entire offense did not consist of "german, attempt ankle lock, miss moonsault. Ankle lock. More germans. Ankle lock." 9. The guy is funny as hell, but Booker T screams midcard to me. 10. The Steiners were a better tag team than the Hart Foundation.

I think a lot of people say that Ric Flair is the greatest of all time to come off as educated when it comes to wrestling. Now, I'm by no means saying that he possibly isn't, and if you honestly think that he is and can back up such a claim, great...it's just a feeling I'm getting. Kind of like saying that The Godfather is the greatest movie of all time to look like a major movie buff.
- I feel people are only jumping over Bret for his hall of fame speech because it's Bret. If it was, let's say, Ric Flair (and honest to god, I love Ric, he just seems to be on my mind a lot tonight I guess), I couldn't see many negative comments about him.
- With the exception of Awesome Kong, the Knockouts division really isn't that much different to the Divas.

The Dudleys are the new LOD as opposed to legendary teams that took all the straps...but we will never have another team like that
Vader wasnt that good
HBK is going to be Ric Flair esque in a few years.....but still putting on showstopping matches
Taker shouldnt lose his streak...........(but he needs to have a raining, thundering and lightning entrance at one Wrestlemania...or a levitating one)
Robert Roode isnt going anywhere
WWE should of hired James Storm instead
Ron Killings has never been impressive
ROH may or may not survive in 8 years if they dont shake things up and create new stars (sounds familiar)
Jake Roberts & Raven are the best at psychological promos along with Pillman and Goldust(96)
The Flair and Foley rivalry was actually pretty good promo wise
Heyman didnt kill ECW.......it was the Network!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (tongue in cheek)
