I dont know... this title win feels fishy to me. The way Jericho has been booked leading up to it... feuding with Adamle and calling out Shane and Steph. Does anyone else think Batista is going to get stripped of the belt?
I could see Jericho complaining to Shane and Steph and getting Adamle in trouble.. due to the fact that HBK didn't count the pin or something like that. I wouldn't mind if this somehow led to a Shane/Batista feud after the strip him of the belt and heel out.

Austin was the legal ref and counted the three so its 'Tista's. Why, thank you for the spoiler. Once its aired its not a spoiler.

He'll be champion, it's just that Adamle will throw him in ridiculous gimmick match after ridiculous gimmick match.

I doubt it, just sounds like wishful thinking.
All the refs got involved, but only the official ref made the 3 count, so it stands. If HBK was the one who put down the 3 count, then maybe, but it'll stick, and I know that will piss off some people here, but that's how it is.

Shouldn't Jericho have been disqualified for shoving the referee?

Shouldn't Jericho have been disqualified for shoving the referee? Austin made it no DQ.

I doubt he'll be stripped, but Jericho will probably get a rematch that he will win. A lot of these kinds of wins end up making for very short reigns, not to mention Batista typically plays the title chaser, not the defending champ.

Shouldn't Jericho have been disqualified for shoving the referee? If he was Dq'd he would have lost the belt to Batista

I bet this is short lived. Batista cried saying how he thought he was never going to get a title again and was going to take time off. So they gave him the first victory in his feud with Cena and gave him the title for now. I don't think a title should be involved in a cena/batista feud until cena has won a match and make that the final match in the feud (personally i wish a title wasn't involved in the feud but i cant help but assume one will be).

Jericho will probably win it back in the Cage, since such a match means he does not have to pin Batista to get the belt back, so they can protect Batista, and give them further cause to feud. It'd be the smart way to book this.
"Will Batista be stripped?" Why, yes, when he retires. Kane will then toss his clothes into a metal trash can, and then....

I think Batista will end up losing it to Orton once he comes back

I think Batista will end up losing it to Orton once he comes back Hmm, also a possibility, though I'm sticking to my guns on the idea Jericho will win it back if there is indeed a cage match, which will likely play out much like his cage match with Punk.

As much as I want the title back on Jericho as soon as possible, I have a horrible feeling he'll carry the can for the mediocre ratings and get shuffled out of the title picture.

If people didn't want to know that results, why go on a message board where you know people will be discussing the results.
