ok so I have been wondering this for awhile and figured Id make a thread about it..... When Orton first debuted as a baby face he was semi over or whatever but after awhile people started to hate him until he turned heel and became the cocky upstart in Evolution... After awhile people started to cheer Orton and eventually he became a face and we all know whats happened since then but I ask you Wrestlecrap
WHAT MAKES PEOPLE LIKE ORTON WHEN HE'S A HEEL? I mean no matter what he does, whenever his kick ass theme comes on you always hear a pretty Big Pop... he can field goal kick anyone and the fans still cheer... He talks them down and its obvious they were tyring so hard to avoid the cheers but they were always there...
I mean i find myself being the same way, when I hear his theme and everything i always find myself rooting for him? Hes not that good of a wrestler and can be boring at times, but I dunno if its the RKO or whatever but i always root for him..Tonight was a good example for it, Im sure he was suppose to be booed but he got the big rko chant and I found myself cheering along with the fans. Is it because he doesnt really fit into the "heel" role anymore.. he attacks anyone in his way and will do anything to be champ?
I still cant explain the charm of orton but i always find myself cheering for him, espically as of late no matter how bad they try to make him a heel.....

its cuz he's a great tweener character. he's the character people love to cheer because he doesn't give a damn what people think... which attracts people. he's one of the best booked characters in WWE right now and i hope it stays that way

Well, the guy he kicked tonight isn't exactly a fan favorite. I can't really believe they were expecting the fans to boo him for that.
I really have no idea where they're going with this Orton/Priceless angle.

I really hope they keep Orton heel-character intact with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. So what if people cheer him or give him facepops? He'll just try harder being a total dick and punt everyone to hell, heel or face..If Cena stays face while getting booed, why can't Orton remain heel despite getting the occasional facereaction?

Orton > WWE. There isn't anyone he could feud with right now who should go over him.

Personally, the only thing I find interesting about Orton at all is his entrance music.

Anyone think he'll punt Cena at the PPV to give him some more time off and setting up a fued?

Jericho needs to take lessons from Orton on how to speak in a monotone voice and actually be interesting.

Simple, he's the best thing on Raw right now, he isn't overly cheesey, or anything like that, he has the right balance of everything now, plus him not being in the main event scene yet gives people a chance to see him in other forms instead of how horribly he was portrayed as a cowardly yet psycho heel.

I generally dislike Orton as both a face and a heel, so I can't help you.

I don't get why Rhodes and Manu were sticking up for DiBiase after he dumped them in the battle royal. It made him seem like a loose cannon when he attacked Punk seemingly without consulting his partners.

I'm curious to see where this goes, seems like DiBiase is being left in the dust while Manu/Cody join up with Orton.
