I love both guys, myself. Glad CM Punk has taken off, while Val's likely past that point, though I think he had a decent run during his time in the sun.

wow that match was proper sweet, some great psychology and im really suprised how much monentum punk was allowed to get in that match

See, it's stuff like this that makes me miss Heat and Velocity. I miss being able to see guys who are enhancement talent now get shots against up-and-comers. I remember back in the day seeing guys like Low-Ki, Punk, And Danielson show up on shows like this to put established talent over, and sometimes, you got great matches like that one.
Sigh.

This was Punk "try out match" where the WWE tested him to see if a) he could work an actual match on television and have it translate and b) see if he could get the crowd to give a s***.
He did, and he credits this match for being the one that got him hired.
