WWE Champion Edge appeared on Live Audio Wrestling this past Sunday to discuss the release of his new DVD, his recent time away from the ring, his long feud with Undertaker, as well as the possible WWE return of long-time friend Christian.
On his time off, Edge said, "I have the nagging aches and pains that every one of our guys and girls have, but this one was not surgery related. It was really just to clear my mind. I surfed, I went hiking up in the mountains. My beard froze. It was so much fun and I needed it."
Edge believes his feud with Undertaker may have been his best feud of all-time.
"I think my rivalry with Cena up until this one might have been my most heated rivalry, but the one with Taker I think has surpassed that," Edge said. "You're in there with a guy who has literally done it all and to main event Wrestlemania against Undertaker with the championship on the line. It’s something you’d think would never happen, but it did."
Edge also talked about his soon-to-be-released DVD and said he chose most of the matches, but it was difficult choosing ones that weren't already put on other DVD's. He enjoyed taking part in the creation of the DVD nonetheless.
"It’s neat to think back about my match with Owen Hart, because there’s not a lot of guys on the roster that can say that they’ve had matches with Owen Hart," Edge said. "The one with Mr. Perfect is also on there and it was only four minutes long, but for me, being such a Hennig fan, had to put it on there."
Edge said some of his greatest career highlights were teaming with former tag team partner Christian. Edge could not speculate on Christian returning to WWE, but he would definitely love to work with him again.
"It would be great to have him back," Edge said. "I'd love to have him involved, just to be able to ride together and any time you can have your best friend with you, I'd definitely take that."
