Jericho is massively over as a heel. But Cena was booed pretty heavily last night. As has been mentioned the ECW chant was pretty weak so it wasnt an overly smarky crowd which explains Cena not being booed out of the building, then again a lot of the crowd probably doesn't even remember ECW due to them being kids.

Huh? I thought the boo's were pretty loud last night. It was like "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *faint high pitched scream in the distance* the whole time. Did you have some kind of bizarro alternate audio going or something? I think the same question should be asked of you. Maybe I just have selective hearing (it is always a possibility), but I wouldn't say what I heard last night was Philadelphia welcoming Cena with open arms...there was definitely some significant booing for Cena.

Did you have some kind of bizarro alternate audio going or something? What I heard was around 60/40 High Pitch Screams VS Booooos. He's getting less booing than he was pre-injury, but if he starts to get overexposed again, expect the booing to get worse. I've still got it on DVR so I'll need to check it out again. I distinctly remember sitting there shocked he wasn't getting many boos since they were in Philly. Of course my theory on boos has always been that it takes 10 people cheering to drown out one boo. So if it was truly 60/40 against him it would sound like he was getting booed out of the building, which definately wasn't the case.

I didn't think it was 60/40, but they were there especially when he got introduced for his interview and when he put the stfu on Edge. As far as taking 10 cheers to drown out 1 boo is not true in my opinion, especially since most of the cheers are from screaming kids and girls which would be much louder than an adult male booing him. Maybe they should have dressed Cena up like Rocky Balboa and had him run to the ring with a bunch of kids? This kind of stuff has worked past couple of weeks.

Philly wasn't feeling him but, that's not a surprise. I think more people are turning around on him because they (Creative) are having him stay serious more now. There is little Rock-lite stuff in his promos since he came back and a lot of those that were booing him like the serious stuff, IMO.
I know I do.

Honestly I think Cena gets booed less lately because a lot of people who hate Cena stopped watching WWE. Once it became apparent that Cena was the top guy and was here to stay, I really think a lot of people who hated him just said screw it and left.
I'm not someone who hates Cena, so I'm not defending it or anything. It's just something I think is probably true to an extent. When you also factor in the fact that the original ECW hardcore fan base now begrudges WWE for making ECW a WWE brand, a lot of those guys are no longer in attendance at WWE shows either. So even in Philly where those guys are from, Cena isn't getting too negative of a reaction. The end result is a WWE audience that generally is not bothered by Cena and doesn't feel the need to boo him.
