Too good to be involved, just as with Punisher: War Zone. So... what, like Randy Orton or something?

I actually think if CM Punk were a little more chiseled, he could absolutely rock this role. But I have faith in Dibiase, mostly because I want to have faith.

Yeah, Dibiase has been around for only six months and is not even a face. So the WWE gives him a movie? Well, their film studio is low-end trash anyway and with McMahon writing all the scripts, it's not going to get much better.
I thought Cena's new film 12 Rounds was pretty much a remake of The Marine. I mean, Cena really stretches as a cop, instead of a fireman, whose girlfriend is kidnapped. I'm sure in his new film he'll play a fireman whose girlfriend is kidnapped...

He's just so charismatic on the mic, I could see how they would think he'd be a good actor.

WWE Films should just fold if they are just going to make straight to DVD movies. They aren't Disney that can re re re-release movies and draw or make new ones that are straight-to-dvd like Aladdin 9: Jafar's Dildo. At least "Aladdin 9: Jafar's Dildo" had a logical plot to it that made perfect sense. Although, I'd hate to tell you, but I don't think that was Disney film. Unless they bought out Vivid Entertainment without me knowing.

I'm assuming people do realize that the movie isn't released the moment it is finished filming, right?
It's not like they're basing his drawing power on his 6 mo's of current action.
When he's done filming, he'll most likely return and get a push. They did write him off due to a Orton Concussion Kick, so I think the feud seems ready-made.
By the time the movie comes out, the WWE will make sure that people recognize him.

WWE Films Meeting
Big Wig 1- okay we need to come up with a sequel to The Marine in less than five minutes what do you all got?
Big Wig 2- Lets take that DiBiase guy. He sort of looks like Cena if you squint your eyes.
Big Wig 1- But he has only been in WWE for a few months.
Big Wig 2- Who cares. It is only a DVD release. Remember profit always goes over quality.
Big Wig 1- Good Point.

Manu and Umaga need a film. Get Mel Gibson to create a story of Samoans doing something. Like catching fish, or harvesting coconuts, or fighting and eating Tongans (King Meng). Set it during World War 2, or something.

I don't remember who said it, but WWE Films needs to do a remake:
Santino Marella. The Great Khali. My Giant.
License to print money.

I demand Festus be the new Marine, with Maria being the female assistant with bell in hand whenever trouble is looming.

The only thing I can say is that it'll probably be another year or so before the movie actually comes out, and by that time Dibiase could be a big star in WWE. But I'm as confused as everybody else as to why they would use him. Orton would've made the most sense, and I still think he should've been the star of the original movie. But if they really wanted to pick a low card wrestler, why not Paul London? The guy is a professional model and took lots of acting classes from what I understand. Instead they fired him

...You realise the movie won't be out until late 2009/2010. Teddy could easily be a main heel, especially since theres plans of making Orton a Anti Hero and have John Morrison a HBK-esque face

So, is Ted gonna be helped by a cop played by Reginald VelJohnson? 'Welcome to the party, pal!' Seriously, they're running a studio and the best they can come up with is a die hard rip off? (which is exactly what that looks like). No wonder its straight to dvd...
