what are some of the strange facts u have noticed about wrestling and wrestlers?
1) Initials- Brock lesnar and Bobby Lashley- 2 large powerful wrestlers who received huge pushes after being in th WWE in a short time. Both have had amateur wresling backgrounds and both left the WWE after a short period of time while they were pretty high in terms of overness and main event status. What are their initials? B.L
Marty Janetti and Joey mercury- Both debuted in tag teams with celebrity gimmicks- (rockstar, actor) However it was their partners (Michaels, Morisson) who went onto superstardom while thier careers basically sank into obscurity. Their initials MJ,JM
any more?

It's not really a coincidence, mine is more ironic than anything, but Mankind was wearing a J.O.B. Squad t-shirt the night he won his very first WWF World Championship.

Fact: Batista has won the World Heavyweight Championship exactly once in every calendar year since 2005. In another strange fact, each reign has been shorter than the last one.

From March 20, 1994 to August 3, 1997 a babyface held the WWF Championship for all but six days. Backlund having a 3 day heel run, and the title being vacant for 3 days after Shawn's pre WM 13 "injury" 5 different faces had title runs during this run (Bret three times, Shawn twice, Sid twice, Diesel, and Taker)
The other irony in this streak it was started when face Bret Hart defeated heel Yokozuna and ended when heel Bret Hart defeated face Undertaker.
The man known as Mr. Wrestlemania jerked the curtain at 3 straight. Shawn was in the opening match of Wrestlemania's 7, 8, and 9.

-Marty Jannetty has been hired more times then anyone in WWE history
-Likewise, Marty Jannetty has been fired more times then anyone in WWE history.
-The longest match in WWE history is the 2002 Royal Rumble
-C.M. Punk had the longest World Title reign of anyone who cashed in Money In The Bank.
-WWE used almost exactly the same video package to open up WrestleMania X-8 and WrestleMania XIX
-There are two pay per views whose official name in the WWE record book is "WrestleMania" 1985 and 2000. WWF dropped the 2000 late in the campaign for WrestleMania 2000, and it is little remembered that the official name of the 16th WrestleMania is the same official name as the 1st WrestleMania
-Without including the IronMan Match from WrestleMania XII, the average match time for the first 15 WrestleMania Main Events is roughly 15 minutes. With the exception of HHH vs Jericho, which went 18 minutes, every main event since was at least 21 minutes long.
-Bret Hart has wrestled at least twice on 6 different pay per views.
-There have been 6 "2 out of 3 falls" matches on Saturday Night's Main Event. The babyfaces have won 4, or on average, 2 out of 3
-Jonathan Coachman recieved a little more then 7% of the vote to face Shelton Benjamin at Taboo Tuesday 2004. The next two leading vote getters, at 6.7% and 5.8% respectively, went on to be World Champion in TNA, Christian and Rhyno.

It was listed as 75 minutes and there is dispute over whether or not it really went 75 mintues. Newspapers reported it as somewhere between 50 and 65 minutes.

Newspapers reported it as somewhere between 50 and 65 minutes. Well and it was also at Shea Stadium too now that I looked it up. As for rather it was WWF, WWWF, or WWE its all the same company. The records are all the same. Still unless the time can be disproved then it has to be considered the record holder.

--Four men have had World title reigns last exactly 280 days. Yokozuna's second WWE Championship reign (June 13, 1993 - March 20, 1994), Triple H's second World Heavyweight Championship reign (December 15, 2002 - September 21, 2003), John "Bradshaw" Layfield's WWE Championship reign (June 27, 2004 - April 3, 2005) and, immediately after that, John Cena's first WWE Championship reign (April 3, 2005 - January 8, 2006).
--Chris Jericho's two World Heavyweight Championship reigns over the past three months, combined, lasted the exact same amount of time as CM Punk's one World Heavyweight Championship reign (69 days).
--If Triple H would have held onto the WWE Championship for nine more days, his 12 combined title reigns would have added up to exactly three years. In other words, since winning his first WWE Championship in 1999, has had just under four World title reigns per year.
--If Edge can hold the WWE Championship for six more weeks, his combined World title reigns will add up to exactly one year.

Most people know this, but I kind of find it ironic or at least noteworthy:
Shawn Michaels has held the WWE tag team titles with three different partners (Diesel, Austin, Cena), but his most established teams (Rockers and DX) never held the titles.
