Almost every female between the ages of 13-30. I know of two who aren't. One despises it to no end.

Alot of people who haven't been exposed to real literature and movies. Some freshman girl tried to explain to me why it's the best book/movie series ever. I throughly owned her by bringing up good movies and books.

My niece likes them/it/whatever; I know next to nothing about it.
I mean, if people enjoy whatever it is I don't see the problem with it.

I read the series as a deal with my oldest neice. I've been trying to get her more into reading, and she said she'd like that series, so I told her if she'd read the books, I would and then we could discuss them.
I made it through the series, but spent a good deal of time swearing about it. I found myself wanting to know more about certain characters that the author just skimmed, and simultaniously wanting to punch the main character chick in the face for being so damned one-demensional.
Still, if nothing else, it got my neice reading more, which is always a positive in my book, so it was worth the self-torture.

What is it about anyway?
I like Paramore's song, "Decode", from the Twilight soundtrack if that counts for anything.

I have a B.A. in English and I disliked the books (because I am a lit snob) but liked the film, because it made me remember the feeling of being a teenager and desperately in lust. Much like women who were the age I am now identified with Dirty Dancing in the 80s.
Remember kids, sometimes just because a lot of people like something doesn't mean it sucks. See also: Shakespeare, Prince and S&M.
