what is up with everyone's obsession with wildcat on the d.c. side?
What I mean is that towards the end of justice society classified it sort of became wildcat monthly and then we had wildcat on batman brave and the bold just last night. It's kind of becoming a bit ridiculous, well to me atleast.

He also had a episode of JLU a few years back, with Black Carnary and Green Arrow.
He also knocked out Mohammed Ali.

Everyone's afraid that Wildcat is going to knock them out. So, they just put him in everything.

I'm not a fan of the character.
Although to be fair, I'm not a fan of anyone in JSA.

I like Wildcat. And I liked his JLU episode too.

I've always loved Ted - he's the perfect antidote to Jay Garrick and Alan Scott - I mean, I love 'em both (Scott is my favourite hero bar none), but they're far more boyscouty than Superman, IMHO.

because Ted is awesome. he's the only original JSA guy other than Hawkman who doesn't feel like an anacronism.

To be fair, I don't mind wildcat when he's around other members of the justice society to work off of, but alone he just doesn't do it for me.

I only see Hawkman as an anacronism - he's all messed up in character, and only has 'stern' going for him - it's like someone took a badass template and dropped it on the character. Alan and Jay are holdovers, yes, but they're looked up to by everyone.

Who, depending on origin story, is an ancient egyptian and fights with a mace... in the modern world. Ancient guy in Modern world=anachronism. At least Green Arrow has a car.

Dennis Farina played him in the JLU cartoon. Dennis Farina can kill Chuck Norris by tapping him on his shoulder. Dennis Farina is a bad-ass, therefore Wildcat is one too
