I just found out that he's going to leave to live in the main-land United States in one month, and it's permanent/for good. This never happened to me with any of my close friends before. I'm really gonna miss that mofo...
I'm really very Sad right now.
Edit: Whatever, I'm just going to vent in this thread if I need to.

I was in the Army for 5 years and had to say goodbye fairly regulary to a lot of good friends. People I would consider to be family even for some. It sucks, thats for sure.

I'm really sorry to hear that.I've had that experience before so I can kind of relate, and it's not a pleasant feeling.I'm really sorry.

I've had plenty of friends move away in my life, and while I manned it up in front of them. I would get home, and bawl like a baby. It's the reason I don't let friends get close anymore.

Obviously make the next month the best month of your friendship then.

That's exactly how it is for me, or will be for me. I normally want to look cool in front of friends, and not all emotional. But when I get home...

Here I am posting again... I just couldn't sleep after my friend told me he was moving. It must be that in combination, with my insomnia/energy drinks I had the past couple of weeks. I have a headache.
My whole life I never had a real buddy before, until him. More like a ring of friends/aquaintances, who weren't too close. Who knew I would get along with this dude who is the complete opposite as me? A friggin party animal, and sex-addict, who does all kinds of crap, like drink and smoke, and act like a dumbass. Yet we somehow saw past these differences and became the best of friends? I sure as hell didn't expect it. Now he's leaving?
I am flippin depressed right now

If that makes any sense to you.

Count me as one of those that can relate as well. My best friend moved from here in West Virginia to Colorado about this time last year. We hung out literally every weekend for a year and then she got a job out there. I was depressed for the longest time. We would still talk on the phone or online but it wasn't the same as actually hanging out. Over time,it got better but I still miss hanging out with her. She actually has moved back East. She's in Nashville now which is closer and I've got to see her more lately. Just try to stay strong. Believe me,I know it's hard. I'm man enough to admit that I cried multiple times after she left but you just have to accept it. Hopefully, you'll still be able to communicate on a regular basis like we do. That really helps a lot. You may not be able to see him but at least by communicating, you know that everything is okay. It's not the same as hanging out together but it definitely helps.

I am flippin depressed right now i know what you're going through. my best friend since i was 3 has moved four times on me. she goes to church every sunday, likes country music, make up, has two older sisters... whereas i can't even step foot into a church, pure classic rock\metal, hate make up and i have two older brothers. you can't let distance ruin what you have. monthly phones calls and emails are super important. don't let something like this lose what you have.

My best friend moved to Italy because her husband is in the Navy. It was very sad for me, so I know where you are at right now.
You just need to make sure you stay in touch with them

Yeah... my best friend throughout elementary moved away the last year of elementary. We stayed in touch and I visited him for sleepovers up until 9th grade at least once or twice year and after that I ran into him once when he came to our school for a big school band concert. I added him to myspace a year or so ago, but haven't talked to him in forever as we don't apparently have much in common anymore.
Luckily though, when 6th grade started, I met my new best friend. I moved away and now he's in NY a lot, but we keep in contact over myspace and AIM. I've made zero friends since moving here in '05... I've just become overy socially awkward as well as having a good bit of online friends, most of which I've known for 5-10 years and can shoot the shit with over anything.
