I think HBK will reluctantly help JBL win the belt at the Rumble (ugh)
but then HBK will win the Rumble and end up winning the belt at Mania in Texas and end the storyline with JBL with the happiest ending of all.
But, we suffer with 2 months of JBL as champ.

I'd be happy with that.
JBL is always entertaining.... Although I wish they'd let the next generation keep the strap

I'd sure hope HBK wins the title, but I'd kinda like him to be a heel, but rather the "Cool HBK" type heel from 97 or so

Wow two threads about the same thing. Anywho people are talking about it'd be awesome for HBK to win the belt in his home state so on so on, but uhh It's JBLs homestate too

I still say MVP's winning the belt by cashing in the MitB he would win that night against a heel (this is where JBL would fit in), and finally cement his face turn.
I could just be delusional, though.

JBL-HBK won't need the title for their feud.
Cena-Orton is the Wrestlemania title match. I'd bet heavy amounts of money on it. Really their 07-08 feud never had a decisive conclusion so I'd be more than happy with that.

I hope this isn't breaking the rules, but...if Shawn were to ever dip back into heel territory, it would be really watered down and lame in my opinion. Honestly, because of his religion. I'm not knocking his or anybody's faith, but I wonder why he couldn't go all out like he did in his wild younger days. You're not really wanting to hurt people or embarrass them, it's all acting.
God supposedly gave you these talents, you should use them to the best of your abilities. It's not like he has to sleep around and get all coked up...he's playing a character. If it's because of his kids, I would understand, but if they understand daddy's job, then it shouldn't be a problem.
Again, I don't mean to step on any toes, just saying that a heel HBK now would be nothing like heel HBK then.

But, we are blessed with 2 months of JBL as champ. It would be Springtime in America again, well during Spring Time in america. Texas vs. Texas Good stuff, and with JBL/HBK both being awesome. I'd be into it, or HBK vs. Taker in a marquee match

He can do it, as witnessed by his mini-run versus Hogan in '05, and it would still be awesome. The problem is he doesn't feel particularly comfortable doing it, and the fans aren't going to boo him for very long anyway.

It'll be a Wrestlemania match but not for the title. HBK will accidentaly cost JBL the match at the Rumble and JBL will do the same thing to HBK while he's in the Rumble.

When was the last time Shawn was heel? Was it 1999, when he helped screw The Rock in that match with HHH?

I seriously hope it's not the case...
Nothing against Shawn or JBL, but neither man needs the title. And the feud should still be only about Shawn's struggle between pride and economical safety.
They already threw the title into a perfectly stand-alone angle like HBK v Jericho, and the belt itself ended up being little more than an afterthought. That doesn't need to happen again.

If that theory about Shawn costing JBL the title at Royal Rumble is turn and then JBL coming and costing Shawn the Rumble, then that MEANS NO WAY OUT MATCH people. Take my word for it JBL vs HBK will not not not BE a WM match. It will not happen, it is going to be HBK vs Taker. JBL will likely do something with Austin.
