I understand that the likes of Mysterio, Jeff Hardy and Cena are the big money makers for WWE, so naturally these kind of guys ALWAYS have tons of t-shirts, caps, dog tags, etc, for sale.
But seriously, how come WWE never has shirts available for someone like Mark Henry or Mickie James? It wouldn't even have to cost them that much. Obviously they wouldn't expect to sell thousands, so why not just make a hundred of each in S, M, L and XL and see how it goes.
Not only would that be better for the fans, but also the superstars. Part of their WWE contracts states that most of their potential income comes from merchandise royalties, so it must suck and be extremely frustrating when WWE won't even make a shirt for you to try and sell.
Thoughts? Would you buy a Maryse or a Kofi Kingston shirt if given the chance?

I wish they'd do more merch, but I understand it's a financial risk that might not pay off.
Kofi doesn't have his own shirt? I'm legitmately surprised.

Trish had loads of shirts, so there should be a Mickie one for girls to wear.

Only thing is, Trish had the a couple of taglines for them to use, like "Stratusfaction" and all. Mickie doesn't really have any catchphrases that I know of for them to use.

On a somewhat related note, kinda, is it wrong that I once offered a stripper a hundred bucks to get the Arby's hat-logo tattooed above, well, her stuff?

Because it if it backfires and they don't sell they have a warehouse full of "Outback Jack Boomerangs" or "Chris Masters Sombrero's" sitting there gathering dust (of course we know they would sell like proverbial hotcakes - but I guess they don't think its worth the risk).

WWE is a pretty big company, Its not like theyre unsure whether something wont sell and so play it safe, They do their research. Fact is you may be willing to buy a kung fu naki shirt, doesnt mean anyone else will be

How about a Zach Ryder "Woo, Woo, Wee, Woo" Shirt. On the back could say "You know it!!" Lets face it honestly. If there not that over or have anything you can see on TV that makes them Marketable. Chances are, there stuff won't sell. Mickie James is about the only Diva that is over enough to sell something that isn't a naked Playboy shoot. Maryse is not that over and does nothing really that says, "I want to buy something that says this or has that." If everyone had one thing and WWE wants to save money. They should release a line of shirts for them that look like that "NASH" shirt TNA put out. Simple, cheap, and only would sell if the few fans do care.

It should also be pointed out that this merchandise could potentially take up space at the merchandise counters at live events. Better to reserve space for the Edges, Cenas, Batistas, Hornswoggles, etc. that can and will move t-shirts.

I don't think he'd be the only one, but honestly I think that if the most over women were given merch, it would either all sell very well or very poorly. Mickie, Beth and Melina are all pretty over with the crowd for varying reasons, but I have the sneaking suspicion that women's wrestling shirts don't exactly sell all that well.

They could do the shirts on special request I suppose? Have a picture of the shirt on the site and if someone orders one just print one off, that way they won't waste money stocking a warehouse up full of unsold Jesse shirts.

There is one women's wrestling shirt that would be a big seller. And that is a Kelly Kelly shirt that made a reference to her shaking like jelly jelly. Kofi's the one that surprises me. The E seems to have faith in the guy, and he's over. I was actually looking for a Kofi shirt not too long ago.

I'd like a Kofi shirt too. I'm also hoping the WWE bring out a Kozlov and Kendrick shirt too.
