I would like the show to be hosted by Josh Matthews and Santino from WWE Studios, in front of all the TV's ala Livewire. Then you can show matches from each brand that were taped prior, as well as some interview segments in the back with no announcer, real old school style. This would be awesome for every reason you mentioned! I also am hoping to see alot of tag team title main events. As far as the Cubs go I don't care if it interrupts a couple games if it is this awesome, besides I get Comcast Sports Chicago, they air almost every game now anyways. But if this a garbage program like Heat with no angle to it, or even a different format than that Heat garbage no thanks!

Anyone agree that WWE did a diservice by cutting HEAT/Velocity? It gave low card wrestlers something to do and was a good way for young wrestlers to get tryouts. Well Velocity was canned to make way for ECW. Not suprising then that Sandman talks about some of the younger Smackdown guys being resentful. Heat as a undercard showcase had steadily gotten worse, with the same hackneyed jobbers like Snitsky, Duggan, The Highlanders etc. I'm hoping that this will be the new C show and we can finally put the corpse of ECW to rest

I wonder if this stays on WGN or if it goes to all Tribune owned stations? I know the local CW is owned by Tribune and they are constantly running ads for WGN stuff that is supposed to air on there.

I just read this else where. When I go home to visit the parents, I have to check to see if we get this on cable. Since we don't have DVR it might not really. Still really cool tough. I wouldn't mind seeing jobber matches where I could 99% of the time guess the winner (Remember when Barry Horrible-a-witz started beating Skip, who saw that coming?).

Cool that the show is on, but I don't have WGN, which kinda sucks. Maybe with any luck, they'll also start syndicating it to the markets that don't have WGN.
I'd love to see it be like the old Superstars, or Heat for that matter, but I get the feeling it'll be another recap show...not like they need one, but that's what I feel like it's going to be.

As a Cubs fan, I say let your reruns wait for the game to end, wussies!! Oh, and hoo-ray Superstars.

ECW is here to stay, at least for the time being. It is not being ran by someone who, while creative, is a lousy businessman. It is actually a successful venture for the WWE, which is all it needs in order to continue. Granted, they did have slightly more ambitious plans for it when they restarted ECW, but it serves them well. Not to mention, it consistently is more entertaining that their other shows. To be honest, I think ECW wrestlers will feature fairly prominently on this new show to boot. Since the Tuesday night show usually needs to use time focusing on Hardy, Henry, Finlay, and Swagger, they don't have a lot of time available for other guys. Problem is, these guys will never develop if they don't make time for them. Even though they were getting over, Bourne and Knox were not appearing on ECW every week due to lack of time. This new show will help. My guess is that each week the new show will feature a main event that would be appropriate on any of the bigger show (in other words, people who actually win matches facing each other). The rest of the show would probably be a couple of matches of JTTS facing indie workers as well as a JTTS vs JTTS match as the opening match. This new show is good news for Chavo, Funaki, Dreamer, Goldman, Spears, Braddock, and Ortiz. While some of them do get some airtime, this will increase their chances to get airtime. Add to the fact that it WGN, while not a true "network", has a pretty good distribution throughout the nation. Not only that, but the show probably could still get distributed internationally in the same manner that Velocity and Heat did after they stopped getting aired in the USA.

So it's gonna be:
RAW/ECW
Smackdown/Superstars
Sounds good. Though my problem is what will they call the guys that wrestle on the show....Superstar's Superstars? =O

This is is the format I would like for this show:
Commentary: Josh Matthews and Mr. Kennedy
Opening Match:
D-Lo Brown vs. Manu w/Cody Rhodes (have D-Lo get a lot of offense in, but have Manu look dominant and win, in a 6 minute match)
Match 2:
Jamie Noble vs. local (have local guy get some offense in, but have Noble lock in the armbar for the victory)
Match 3:
Hawkins and Ryder vs. two locals (just a squash win for the Edgeheads)
Main Event:
JBL vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan (about a 7 minute match, have a few near falls for Duggan, but JBL wins with the Clothesline from Hell)
Now, most wrestlers I named were just really random midcarders and lowcarders (save for JBL, who is a main eventer), but you get the format I would like. I would like it to be very similar to HEat and Velocity.

Fill the rest of the show in with low/mid card "name" guys winning squashes. Mix in some small angle advancement once in a while to give people a reason to watch and you've got a winner.

Keep a storyline to the show or it is worthless. Bonus if the storyline carries over onto ECW/SD/Raw.

great, now ECW will be the "D" show............. My guess is this show features the low card guys from all the shows. Hell if I was them I'd buy a studio in Stamford and film it there in an "Impact Zone" type enviroment.
