Respectfully disagree, as will many others. It's all subjective. I also disagree. Hogan cut the same promo over and over. Flair found new ways of getting on people's nerves. There is more to charisma than cutting an awesome promo, like the look, the in-ring mannerisms, etc., but I do disagree with the assertion that Flair is nowhere near Hogan in the charisma department.

Flair doesn't hold a candle to Hogan's charisma. What the buggery has Hogan got to do with any of this? Hogan has everything to do with everything. If it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, this forum wouldn't be here. If it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair would've had a career of packin meat off a truck in Minneapolis. He was sellin out the world while we were bummin gas to put in our cars to go to high school.

You wanna talk about in-ring mannerisms: the strut, the flair flop, the flip over the top turnbuckle, the begging for mercy, the trash talking; and to top it all off, Flair could wrestle, unlike our friend hogan.

I think he would get over, but not as a world champion. He'd likely be more of comic relief like Santino or something.

I just meant, in my opinion, what does mentioning Hogan in this thread have to do with the subject matter except causing another un-needed Hulkster debate? I'm certainly not out for conflict or an argument, just curious to know why people need to add such comments, hopefully not just to inflame opinion.

Um, I never said that Flair didn't have those things, but someone said that Hogan said the same promo over and over again, in an attempt to somehow prove that he didn't have charisma, and my point was that he DID, and that charisma is more than just promos. I'm a bigger fan of Flair than Hogan, for crissakes.

Since Ric said Foley's a glorified stuntman, I'd just like him to know that I never thought of Flair as anything more than a glorified mid-carder. Foley was a bigger star in the business in my opinion.

I think he would get Kofi Kingston's gimmick if he were starting out today.
