Don't think he really had one, just wore stupid baggy pants and hung around with a bird.

He wrestled in the USWA a bit in 1993 where he feuded with Jerry Lawler but he injured his knee and didn't do much else in the WWF until the end of the year. The rumour says Vince was about to get shot of him until they started his feud with Bret.

I remember Jerry Lawler doing his thing where they would freeze the shot and draw on the screen (Similar to Heenan's Brain Scan, it was called something like the Magistrator). There was one match where Owen was in the blue outfit and in the replay they showed him going for a legdrop. They froze on this point and the King drew a toilet on the screen to make it look as it if Owen was taking a dump. I actually remember thinking Lawler was pretty good at drawing, long before I saw any of his drawings (which are pretty damn good it has to be said).

Yeah I remember him wearing the tights singlet combo in the IC battle Royal in October 93. Basically a blue version of Bret Harts outfit minus the the Hart Foundation graphics and instead he had some white lighting bolts or some kind of design on them.
I think he even wore his blue blazer boots with the outfit. I seem to remember seeing him wearing boots with a wing design painted on them.
What a turnaround huh? After the High Energy bit I figured he would fizzle out and leave the company and bop around somewhere else and eventually retire.

^ That sounds like a crazy outfit to wear lol,
is there any internet vids of him wrestling back then? I mean, while he was decked out in that gear?

I've also heard the Vince wanted to do a Hart brothers angle with Bret and Bruce until Bret convinced Vince that Owen would work as a heel. I've read that, too, and it baffles me. Owen had been in the WWF for almost two years under his own name at that point and was well-established. It seems like common sense that turning him would resonate more with the fans because they already knew him. Bruce, on the other hand, had never appeared in the WWF, wasn't nearly as good a performer and was six or seven years older than Bret and already in his mid-40s. Fortunately for us, everyone settled on the right answer. Given how screwed up the Harts were/are, I wonder if Bruce ever resented Owen for "stealing" his one shot at the big-time.
