Why is there a Jerry Lynn and a Jerry Flynn? Was WCW so lazy to think of a name for one of their wrestlers that they saw another guy that used to work for them and thought "Hey, let's give him this guy's name, but add an F to the second part!" Was it supposed to a subtle shot at him for leaving the company or something?
Or I am just reading too much into the similarity of their names?

Well Jerry Lynn wrestled under a mask as Mr JL and he was just a jobber, so I don't think it was a knock at Lynn. Jerry Flynn was a jobber as well. He was like a Steve Blackman jobber.

This is, after all, the same company that gave us two completely unrelated wrestlers named Big Al in the span of two years and completely neglected to ever name Eddie's bodyguard Spyder in the entire time he was with the company.

Are Jerry Lynn & Jerry Flynn their real names? I believe so, it wasn't a WCW thing. It just so happened they had two guys on the roster with similar sounding names. And if they changed one of them like called Jerry Lynn, Walter Lynn or something we'd have people complain that they don't keep real names like they did during the Invasion in changing Shane Helms to Gregory Helms and so forth.
