I am surprised that Dyers Eve made it on there. Probably my second favorite song off of Justice. Also very glad that No Leaf Clover is there. I really hope they have the S&M concert set on the game. It's awesome to see some Machine Head, Queen, Suicidal Tendencies on there as well.

No "Hero of the Day" makes me uninterested. The only other song by Metallica I liked was "Enter Sandman", and I had fun with that in Rock Band 1.
And this is, like, the 4th or 5th "rhythm music" game that Ace of Spades has appeared in... and hearing it a ton when I played Tony Hawk on the Gamecube, I'm well beyond sick of that song...
Oh well, not my kind of game, but people genuinely seemed excited by it, so I hope it sells well. Aerosmith supposedly made more money from the single Guitar Hero game than all their albums combined (I'ma have to find that story again on Kotaku), so you know Lars Ulrich is ecstatic about this.

I'm glad "turn the page" and "Tuesday's Gone" are getting original Artists I did like the Metallica versions, but like seeing the original artists get some love.

Samhain being on there - excellent!! Totally agree, Samhain is one of Danzig's best bands if not my favorite, but surprized at the lack of misfits on there, figured they at least do green hell/last caress. I know I am dreaming here, but I hope they will have an old school version of Metallica, so maybe you can play as Cliff Burton, and Jason Newstead deserves to be in the game as well.

Yeah, that's a pretty sweet setlist of "other artists", sweet enough to make me interested in the game even.

Cool. Frantic is in. "St. Anger" is still in continuity.

I got excited when they announced that Machine Head would have a song in the game but I was really hoping that it would end up being "Davidian"

Awesome. Ride the Lightning would be the only thing I'd have thought would be in that's not, but that doesn't detract from what's actually in it.

why is one on there? that was on GHIII Probably because you couldn't sing or play drums on GH III. If I cared about this game at all, I'd be pissed if "One" (the only Metallica song I can honestly say I like) wasn't on there.

Only song that I care for that is on there is "Tuesday's Gone" by Lynyrd Skynrd which is probably my favorite song by them...
Hopefully that song will be a separate download for Rock Band since some of those songs are already on other games..

Could this be the one that actually makes me break down and actually buy a Guitar Hero/Rock Band game? Probably not, but that's a pretty good set list.

Ah this is one of those games where the only way to make everyone happy with a setlist is to toss every Metallica song ever in it... and even then, people will be pissed that it's the wrong version.
At any rate, I'm really excited for this.... I just wonder if the songs are based on the studio recordings or the live recordings... as I'm totally down with a 30 minute version of "Seek and Destroy", saying "Cut this shit off from me" instead of "Cut this life off from me" in One.... and the endless "Hey's" in damn near every song with any type of breakdown at all.
