Was bored tonight, and I somehow slipped on this jem.
And I remembered how creeped out I was because of this. I think I've only seen FernGully once as a kid because of this damn song. Though it is awesomely badass that Tim Curry provides the voice for Hexxus.
But what are some of your videos, stories, or things that traumatized you as a kid?

I was in the downstairs playing Nintendo when I was a kid probably 7 or 8, there was a window right by me, some guy peered in at me and just stared at me before taking off. The downstairs had a slider that I dont beleive was locked so he coulda came in and grabbed me. I was mortified and coldnt scream.

Honestly? That scene in Little Shop of Horrors when Steve Martin sings that song in the dentists office. I was already scared to death of dentists and that whole scene just gave me nightmares.

Sounds pretty horrifying!
I remember one of the only times I'd watch the X-Files we had a Thunderstorm in the area. Well, it was an episode where a man has the power to shut off things with his hands. So basically, he went to a hospital, turned the power off by touching the circuit breaker, and by that exact moment we lost power in our house. I not only stopped watching the X-Files, I'm pretty sure I couldn't sleep for a week.

Unsolved Mysteries definetly scared me too. Sometimes after I'd watch it, I'd dream Crow Sting floating near the ceiling. I don't know why that scared me, I was Sting fan, but it did.
The movie, IT was scary, at least the beginning with the kid actors.

Cheesy scene in T2 where Sarah Connor envisions the nuclear blast and burns up in it.
The "You're Dead!" screen from F22 Interceptor on Sega Genesis (JESUS that was so out of place! Fast forward to about 3:10)
The first encounter with Dr. Robotnik on Sonic The Hedgehog (the bright colors and eerie music just...did me in for some reason, I wasn't expecting it and I was really young, sue me!)
Some logos scared me for some reason, like the FDA one and the warnings on medicine commercials, and RAID commercials.

Unsolved Mysteries definitely scared me too. The theme song was just uber creepy at that young age.
Freddy Krueger scared the s*** outta me as a young child. So of course I had to wear a t-shirt with his face on it (at 5 years old, i swear to you all), be him for Halloween and watch the movies and the Freddy's Nightmares tv series. AND I WAS DEATHLY AFRAID OF HIM STILL. God I was a nutty child.
and the time I stumbled across my dad's porn tape stash. "Why is she putting THAT in her mouth???"

Oh, when I read the title my mind went somewhere completely different than movies and stuff.
Ya know, like the time I was snooping for christmas gifts and found my mom's vibrator.

Seeing Pennywise the clown from the IT movie when I was around 4 or 5 is the reason I'm a severe caulrophobe to this day. I actually turned down a job with my cousin because the work would involve hawking his clown merchandise.

^There is nothing wrong with being afraid of clowns. They're just downright creepy. Unsolved Mysteries definitely scared me too. The theme song was just uber creepy at that young age. The old school theme was awesome. As was the voice over before it, "This program is about unsolved mysteries. Whenever possible the actual family members and police officials have participated in recreating the events. Remember what you are about to see is not a news broadcast".
