This happened about a half an hour from my house. Not sure if any national news is on it yet. A Continental Airlines flight crashed into a house. The house was just crushed and two others on fire. One person was inside the home and they reported 50 people on board the plane but Continental disputes that. Latest is they were trying to make an emergency landing at the Buffalo airport after a problem but didn't make it that far. www.buffalonews.com/home/story/577959.html

The plane was going from Newark to Buffalo, the crash was about 5 miles from the airport.

CNN picked up on it about 12 minutes ago. They've got live coverage via Skype or something right now.

48 people on board. Skype is some kind of like video feed thing they have. Some of the people who live near there said there were a few explosions but that wasn't confirmed.

Are you sure? CNN and the firefighters have said that it was unknown at the time

According to the local news everyone was killed. The guy at the press conference seemed pretty sure and said along the lines of "We are not looking for survivors".
Edit: The plane is still on fire, sadly I can't see how there could be anyone alive.

RIP to everyone involved. That poor guy (or girl) inside the house...can you imagine just hanging out and going about your day when a plane crashes into your home?

Now they are changing it saying that they didn't confirm the 49 dead. I hope there are survivors, the media is so unreliable with these things.

Man wasn't meant to fly. That's all I'll say. I agree. I cannot stand flying. It's so great being a nervous wreck for hours on end.
