I was bullied a lot during school but not anymore. I still carry an absurd amount of animosity towards the people that did bully..and those who I meet now that I think might once upon a time. Me too, and I hate bullies with a passion to this day. Unfortunately US society seems to admire them without explicitly admitting it.

I was the kid that those who were bullied treated like crap to feel better about themselves.
Not to mention that the regular bullies teed off on me as well.
There is a reason why I have absolutely no desire to go to any reunions.

Yes, in High School, but only because of the medication I was on. I'd fight like 5 people (in defence of my friends none the less) in Grade School just the year before. I was so brave it was crazy. LOL Then when I was 18 in my last year of High School and I chose to stop the meds, I was the only person brave enough to defend other people. Most people in that school didn't even have the balls to defend themselves alone against a single person. No one would even look at me the wrong way.

in elementary school, i was the bully beater. I would defend my friends if they were picked on, but nobody really messed with me.
Junior high, nobody really bothered me.
High school, i had the respect of the nerds (graduated top 10 in my class) and respect of the bullies (probably because I was good in sports and could beat most of them in basketball.) But i wouldn't shrink back if I was threatened by someone and I'd stand my ground.

Bullied. Mainly cause I played it straight and I would get pissed off if people played around me.

confession time.. in school, i used to think that i was a funny guy who could tease someone brilliantly. kind of like the rock. however, since i was huge in school, i used to get depressed when i heard people make fun of me behind my back. since i have pretty good hearing, i heard most of the 'fat thighs, elli (elephant) Belly ' comments and used to be depressed. one da in a counselling class, i asked my teacher why some people were rude to me. a fellow classmate said - "rude to him? he is rude to so many people!" that was the lowest i had ever felt in school. i turned into a recluse and stopped talking and joking to people of my own accord, for the stupid fear of offending them with my poor wit. i had no solid friends till i entered college. kind of why i stay in touch with them and have no contacts with anyone from school... sigh! also, there used to be this guy in school who was effeminate and used to talk in a weird way. i did my share of jokes and laughing whenever he used to present something to class. realised how horrid i was when i was in college. lost touch with him, but met his cousin once and asked her to convey my apologies to him. never got a response from his side, so the guilt still says. not proud of my behavoiur in school till that fateful counselling session at all. no wonder i turned to the internet forums. now, dont shun me guys Sniff! Sniff!! it's bad enough that i usually end up being the thread killer

I had friends all over (the clever group, the not so clever group & the "hard knocks") so I never really had any trouble.
Plus, getting along with the school psycho helps.

I was bullied. I'm the fat kid. Other people bullied me to make themselves feel better or look impressive amongst their friends. It shaped me as an adult, I must admit. Wound me up tight enough to snap. Got a lot of anger bottled up inside from those days. But my anger is an important part of me, so I accept it. Considering where I lived, I assume most of my bullies are all dead or in jail now, so THERE'S a positive.

Won't go in to detail but I left school when I was thirteen cause of bullying and the bullying around me. Seven years of therapy later and I still have to see a psychologist every week because of the damage it did to me. Having to leave school was the right decision, though it has left me with limited social skills. It is a terrible aspect of growing up (and in some cases when you are an adult) but it does happen everywhere and I can't see a solution coming anytime soon.

Neither really. I got along with everyone. Legitimately. I escaped without an angsty high school experience fairly unscathed.

I thought I got bullied pretty badly in school but compared to some of these stories I didn't have it so bad.
