In school, general life or whatever.
I was bullied a lot during school but not anymore. I still carry an absurd amount of animosity towards the people that did bully..and those who I meet now that I think might once upon a time.

Neither, despite being small and geeky the bullies at school liked and protected me for some strange reason, I don't think they were doing it right. I suppose we didn't really have traditional bullies though, just hard kids.

I was usually the friend of the kid who was getting bullied. Then I would get involved somehow and the bully would want to fight me.

I was that one shy nice kid that people (both jocks and geeks) could always talk to.
I liked to tease people sometimes, and they'd tease me back. But I was never either one of the cool kids or an outcast.

I suppose we didn't really have traditional bullies though, just hard kids. pretty much describes me. Some of my best friends in high school were the biggest jocks in the school, while others were strange-o kids. It didn't really matter

Both, and neither.
I guess the same as most of the rest of y'all are saying.

There really wasn't a bullying culture here when I was in school. Even less of it in the schools I attended.
Sure, some kids were a bit more "tough" and some weren't, but I was always able to be friend with most people, or at least to have some sort of "live and let live" attitude. And I didn't back out from namecalling or even from the (very rare) scuffling when needed. So despite not being a tough guy by any means, and actually a potential "easy target" I was always respected (at least when I was present, I can't control and I don't care what went on behind my back).
In high-school I was almost bullying a classmate, but at the time I didn't think it was bullying, and I'm still very undecided now...
Fake-wrestling, playing pig-in-the-middle with his cap/book or making fun of him getting paranoid about his grades and stuff was par for the course back in my days...

Well, at first in middle school, I was the bullied. It was pretty crappy, but I did have my own little circle of friends. Then I moved to a smaller town. I was still bullied, but then as a reaction to it, I started bullying someone. It was around high school I just started being nice to people, and then in return they started being nice to me. But, in high school is also when I had to deal with some entirely unrelated stuff that took several months out of my high life. That's a different story, though.

Primary school, I got the shit kicked out of me before I fought back.
High school, there tended to be verbal abuse but I usually just ignored it.

Bullied in elementary school and jr. high. By high school it was over. Then in high school you got to be the really hot girl that all the dudes wanted to take to the prom, right?

Neither of them. I was a nerdy prep, and while not on the highest tier of popularity, some of my best friends were the most popular people in the school. That and I would always willingly give answers/help to anyone that wanted or needed it, and since I was in nothing but GT/AP courses I never had to deal with the real morons.
There was never any need to bully anyone else...and when you're known for being a nice guy, you REALLY don't need to do it.

I was bullied, but I always won the fights. By 10th grade I had built up such a large group of friends that people knew not to mess with me.

I got bullied quite a bit for a year or two. By someone smaller, younger and weaker. I was a big softy. The world's hardened me into the bastard I am today.

I was never bullied or a bully. I was pretty much friends with everyone in the school regardless of their cliqe. I was on the football team, in Ag, electronic media, drama and choir. I also took as many athletic training and art classes as I could. I was also in key club, and I went to parties all the time didn't matter which group was throwing it. High school was great, and college was pretty much the same way.

Got a bit of stick from chavs for my long hair but nothing I couldn't handle. The younger chavs would have 'wars' with me and my pals though but it was just us chucking bottles at eachother really and we never got hurt but they sometimes did.

In Grade School, I was the kid who had just moved from Malibu to Redneck Central. Yeah, I was bullied. Then I grew about a foot in seventh grade and the muscles from digging post holes finally came in, bullying stopped.
Then oddly enough in college I took up jiu jitsu, and upon learning basic skills, I began to abuse the newfound power on some people smaller than me, some deserved it, some didn't. Soon enough though I matured, became humble, and went after the new jitsu bullies. It was an odd cycle.

I was a bully in elementary school. Not a big time one, just enough to probably qualify. Still maintaining friends and whatnot, but not so nice to some kids. A teacher I really liked in 6th grade got to me though, and I stopped.
I may have been in trouble but luckily I've always been pretty big so no pay back, but I've learned my ways, as I am a pretty big nerd now so I've come full circle lol.
Also the kid I picked on the most and I ended up being friends in high school, so no big deal. And I very "nicely" got others to stop messing with him, so I am a reformed bully and I hate watching people getting stepped on.
Throughout highschool I actually got a reputation of being really shy and nice. Which I would like to say I am. So I ended up being relatively well liked by most people.
My school though was so small that we didn't really have bullies though. Too few people to be that mean, everyone would hate you.
