I am going to the Atlanta Thrashers/Chicago Blackhawks game tonight. It is my first NHL game, Heck its my first hockey game in person. What I was wondering is if the arena is fairly cold? If so how cold?
Thanks

It depends on the arena. If you're going to a game in Atlanta, I don't think it will be that cold. The average temperature is somewhere between 50-60 degrees inside, with the ice obviously colder.
The Blackhawks should be a treat to watch with all of the young talent on the team. Also, hockey live>>>>>>>>>>>hockey on TV.

Yeah, I've noticed that it's not very cold at all (even sitting front row). It's maybe 60-65 degrees, so maybe wear a long sleeve shirt, if you feel like it.

For a California native like myself, it is pretty cold.
Then again, it's 54 outside and it's freezing to me.

Even if the arena were cold, the amount of people there will offset the cold easily.
You're in for a heck of a treat - nothing beats seeing a game live. It may seem weird at first because you don't have the usual things around when you watch a game (commentary, etc...).
It's an awesome thing.

Pro Hockey arenas are usually pretty comfortable. It's the damn Jr. League arenas that are cold

You do notice the cool air from the ice as you get closer to the actual floor level, but not so much that you need to bundle up
And I'll be at the Hurricanes/Blue Jackets game at the RBC Center this Saturday. Every time the Hurricanes score, Ric Flair pops up on the Jumbo Tron and dances while "WOOOOO"ing all the way.

The game was AWESOME!! Hockey live is the best ever. As a former Chicago Native its good to see the city I was born in have a good hockey team again. The Blue Crew from the thrashers are HOT. At first I thought they were some type of pre-show figure skating hot girls. BUT NO THEY PATCHED THE ICE! MOVED THE GOALS! THEY DID IT ALL!
