One other thing... why does it seem that Doink of all people got the biggest pop from all the entrances?! Because Doink is a God. Explain how an evil clown is a God? I know he's well liked on here, I just never dug him.

Explain how an evil clown is a God? I know he's well liked on here, I just never dug him. He was more recognizable to the 2001-era fans than most of those gimmicks. And except for Y2J dressing up as him a few weeks earlier, he hadn't been seen in many years.

Doink also falls into a weird category of nobody remembers him normally, but for some reason his "look and music" are instantly recognizable to anybody that has ever seen/heard it just once.

The match was simply for nostalgia. Based on that, it was a rousing success. I saw people I hadn't even thought of for years. The average age of the people in the match had to be at least 50. You can't really expect much from people that old in pro wrestling.

According to the the MWF shoot intervew, Sheik claims that wasn't the reason why he was booked to win. Sheik said he was ready to take the over the top rope bump. Sheik would have hurt himself if he bumped over the top rope. Sgt. Slaughter was supposed to win, or so I read.

Also remember: when he was last in the WWF, the fans were finally sick of him and booing him. I recall reading about chants of "kill the clown!" coming from those 1995 audiences... 6 years later: all was forgiven; or rather, he was now nostalgic...

I liked the one on the Raw anniversary better, with IRS winning, then accepting the bribe from DiBiase to eliminate himself. That one was a lot better I thought. ...mostly because it featured the return of Gillberg. =P

The average age of the people in the match had to be at least 50. For absolutely no reason I had 10 minutes and did some research. The ages of all the participants at the time were: 58 - The Iron Sheik 56 - Butch 54 - Luke 53 - Nikolai Volkoff 52 - Sgt Slaughter 50 - Kamala 48 - Hillbilly Jim 46 - The Goon 46 - Gobbledy Gooker 44 - Tugboat 43 - Doink The Clown 42 - Michael Hayes 41 - One Man Gang 41 - Repo Man 39 - Kim Chee 39 - Jim Cornette 38 - Brother Love 37 - Earthquake 31 - Duke "The Dumpster" Droese Giving us an average age of 45.

I would of thought Dumpster would be older than that. Yeah, but that's Sheik talking. Dude is out of his mind.

The Gooker was 46? I thought he would only be 10 at the time considering he was hatched in November of 1990, I guess birds have certain age gaps
