Well I did what I thought was right today. I made today my last day (not without letting Big Lots know that I could start Monday, to which they were estatic pver). The store manager (the racist one) wasn't there today, so I told the assistant manager and the sales manager that today would be last day, and they said they didn't blame me. So now I got the rest of the weekend to myself to enjoy and relax.

How is Big Lots doing in wake of the economy? Is it in trouble, or are sales up? If that's where you going to work, I'd look out and make sure there's some security where you're going. I'd take the job anyways, it's just easy to do and would be nice to know. The Big Lots here is dead. No one ever goes in there. It really depends on where you are I guess. I went to the ones around here and at Christmas time it was packed. The one I'm starting at this coming week for a second job as part time. Always had people there. Right now in retail it in a slow season. Jan and Feb sucks for retail. So right now it hard to judge. But really they should be doing very well because they sell things you need cheaper then a lot of places. Like Cleaning supplies and food. Now I know RD and Blade talks about the out date expired food. But the one I worked at and the one I work at have always been good and taking that off the shelf. I never had there problem but then again I guess it depends on who is running the store. The one I used to work with was clean and on the ball. The one I'm going to be working at now is the same way. I only left because it was far away from where I leave now and wasn't worth the money. I could have tranfered but there wasn't room at the time.

Clock in, duck out and screw around all day, and then sneak back in at the end of your shift and clock out.
Repeat until fired.

If you can put in the two weeks do it. Sure might feel good to 'screw em over', but it's way better not to burn any bridges, just in case. There are always exceptions sure, but if you can do it, I would. Yes.
