I just got 'Demanufacture' and I love the album to fudging bits! It's fantastic. I was already a fan to begin with but every song on that album I loved. (espically Hunter-Killer, Replica and Dog Day Sunrise) I love Archetype as well. The other albums I have from them are Digimortal and Transgression. I think they have split up for good now but I'm not sure. Anyway, any other fans of them here?

loves me some fear factory. im kinda on the ropes if they use a drum machine or if their drummer is just that friggin crazy. i think archetype is their "newest" album...i think one of the members has a side project right now and factory is on "hiatus" tho i dont like a few albums. fear is the mind killer, concrete, soul of a new machine, and remanufature are a bit not as good as obsolete, digimortal, etc..

Dino Cazarez's (sp?) side project is Divine Hearsay and they're pretty good. Love me some Fear Factory. Burton C Bell is one hell of a singer.

I dig Fear Factory every once in a while. Obsolete is a great album, although I find most their other stuff pretty hit and miss.
Great live band though.

Transgression is their latest and they're rumored to be working on a new album.
Dino is no longer a part of the band, as he was a huge reason why they split up to begin with.... they then reformed without him and have carried on ever since.

Obsolete is a really neat record, because of how it's kind of a concept record. I always liked Fear Factory because they didn't (usually) resort to the old nu-metal moves like rapping and other goofiness.

I wouldn't call myself a fan but I don't mind them. I like some of their stuff. I saw them live back in 2001 I believe it was and during the sound check, they were messing with the bass and it was so loud. It literally shook the entire arena. I'm not exaggerating on that. They are really good live.

I can't believe Obsolete came out over 10 years ago now. I picked that album of the shelf (new) and basically destroyed a CD player and the disc itself (and my car) playing it out. Then I got Demanufacture...That is a kickass album! I haven't played any FF lately but I saw them a few times live and it was awesome. Thanks for reminding me about them. Crazy how much time has passed...!

I bought their first album way back in 93 and loved them from that album and until Digimortal.
Dino-less FF doesn't meet expectations IMO and Divine Heresy is a great band.

They were one of the first concerts I ever saw in 1997, opening for Type O Negative. They were awesome. Demanufacture is definately their best, followed by Obsolete and then Soul of a New Machine. Be forwarned though, Soul of a New Machine sounds NOTHING like the band today. More Death Metal. Digimortal was an okay album too, but everything after that lost me.
They were a great band when I was much younger and they got me into heavier music. They're pretty light compared to what I'm into today.
I'm still a fan.
