I can't even begin to imagine all the boys who bawled sitting in the theater watching Optimus Prime die. Guess I'm lucky I didn't see it untilI was an adult. This definetly.. I was 5, my cosuin had given me EVERY episode of Transformers and the movie on VHS. I sat and watched the first two seasons in 2 weeks... Then I stuck on the movie... I knew something was up when a third of the good guys were dead within ten minutes.. then Prime died.. And whilst that bothered me, one death was worse for me.. what bothered me was the (Anti-climatic) death of my favourite character.. Starscream...

Totally Bambi's Mother. You never see it happen. You just hear the shot, and suddenly he's all alone, and extrememly vulnerable. It's not like Lion King or The Land Before Time. Bambi never gets to say goodbye. His intimidating father shows up and tells him she's gone. He looks back, sheds one tear, and walks away. She's just gone. I have a lump in my throat just thinking about it.

Apollo Creed & Mufasa were the only two movie deaths to really affect me when I was younger.
As an adult I was sad when Reese died in The Terminator (Yes I saw the Terminator 2 about 10 years after the 2nd one came out.)

Megatron frickin' blew his face and head to pieces.

I would think Old Yeller and Mufasa. I was a weird child and wept over Ferngully, too. The plants were dying.

Off the top of my head, the top four I can think of would be: - Mufasa - Yoda - Optimus Prime - Old Yeller Wise choices. I would throw E.T. in there, but not as many kids have probably seen that. I was surrounded by crying kids in the theatre when I watched that one.

The movie Salo (120 Days Of Sodom) makes me want to cry.I'm pretty thick-skinned with movies, so I imagine some of the scenes in that movie would be harsh on a child.
Don't ever let a small child watch Salo.Seriously.That's just f***ed up, man.

Are you looking for movies to show at schools to make the kids cry? If so, you are a sick, sick man... Having said that, may I recommend Bambi. Nah, to fill that sick need I just visit kindergardens and tell the truth about Santa Claus.

That dulled my senses by about 20% the first time I saw it. The ant from Honey I shrunk The Kids didn't sit well either. Never cried about Optimus Prime. Thought it was an awesome movie.
