NO! NO NO NO NO!
I went to that god forsaken place for four straight years, and not once, not ONE SINGLE SOLITARY FREAKING TIME did we have a snow day!
I walked over tundras of ice, nearly breaking my ankles every damn time, as the RU staff never really did see fit to sprinkle salt or plow ANY-DAMN-WHERE!
I drove down there after weekends at home despite not being able to see, not being able to go over 10 mph on my 40 mile drive, all while being surrounded only by huge Mac trucks that had just as bad visibility as I did.
The ONLY time we ever had a weather related closing was when the Raritan River overflowed, and flooded three, count 'em, THREE major highways that were the only ways into New Brunswick. That's right; our only cancellation EVER was due to NOAH'S GODDAMN ARK.
Meanwhile, I work in the next town over from Rutgers, teaching, still with that hour long commute, and I won't know if I have off unless my phone happens to ring at 4am this coming morning.
That's it. I'm taking my aggression out on the next person I see. WHAT, WANNA MAKE SOMETHING OF IT?!

You should've been born in 1987, so then you'd be going to school there now.
When you look at it that way, you only have yourself to blame.

He can fault his parents there a bit too.
HMark places a call to his mom- " Rutgers has a snow day now, you and dad suck! Click"

It took 18 inches of snow in one night that had didn't even slow down until 10 AM to close school here. Had it stopped by like 6, I'm sure they still would have opened.

On the other hand, here down South, if there's even a hint of a flake or two, school's are canceling, and people are loading up on bread and milk as if there's some sorta Coleman Dairy/Wonder Bread famine a'comin.

I just found out that my college has a snow day tomorrow, too. While I won't mind sleeping in, I'd rather not shovel snow.

6-8" of snow wouldn't even get a snow day up here. Count yourself lucky.

One time we had a gas leak, and everyone went outside.
A BUNCH of buses come along. Yes! No more school for the day!
NO, NO..WE GO BACK TO SCHOOL, THOSE BUSES DRIVE AWAY. WE WERE BEING TAUNTED, DAMMIT.

Manhattan is a lot of fun. It really is. But unless there are power outages, gas leaks, or other unforseen events not named "snow storm", my classes are never canceled. I JUST WANT TO PLAY IN THE SNOW, NYU! I JUST WANT TO PLAY IN THE SNOW!

I don't mind class so much as I was hoping to not have to walk a mile to and/then from class, and then to and from work, and then to and from baseball practice in a snow storm/multiple inches of snow. I guess the good news is the bootleg DVD folks won't be clogging up Canal tomorrow morning.
