Not only does it show celebration for RVD finally winning his first world title, but it shows enthusiasm for a new product. It's a nice "what could have been". And from what I've seen of ONS 2006 (Angle/Orton, Cena/RVD), it seemed like a good PPV.

Also I thought every match but Balls-Tanaka was good.

Danny Doring. Also I thought every match but Balls-Tanaka was good. had a slight problem with the Mysterio/Sabu match but it had nothing to do with them, it was Tazz & Styles' commentary, because a year earlier it was "Rey Mysterio is an ECW alumni" but in 2006 it was "Rey Mysterio is trying to suck up to the ECW fans. He's not a real ECW alumni, he was only there for 'a cup of coffee'" great moments: Sandman canning the crap out of Eugene and Foley's "Let's hear it for Stephanie McMahon" promo

Big Show drank all the beers backstage. Also when I first looked at Doring I thought it was Kid Kash.

And Foley's promo was absolute ownage. This picture makes me sad. I marked so, so hard for ONS 06 and invited a bunch of friends over to watch the first ECW on Sci-Fi (even some who weren't wrestling fans, because I was so sure that it would impress them). My spirits were crushed...

I laughed at Justin Credible with the Diet Coke. Ready made feud for CM Punk.. no wonder he debuted against Credible.

It was thought out to be a big thing wasn't it, with two of the biggest stars in Angle and Show actually fighting in and for ECW. I thought it always had potential, and was never completely dire, but the entire concept seemed miles away from the original ECW.
I like how it is now though.
I can see how you feel about that picture though, man, with only one of them actually still in WWE & one other in weekly mainstream wrestling, it is quite sad to think what could of been. Great picture though!

It was cool and all, but I guess ECW, like the nWo, attempt, ran into a lot of bad luck.
RVD and Sabu legal trouble, Angle and RVD not sticking around, Sandman getting fired, not having someone like the Dudleyz to get it over big, Lashley being an utter disappointment, luck was not with them.

I was there live for this show and it was probably one of the coolest moments I've ever seen wrestling wise.

Watch One Night Stand 06 and then watch One Night Stand 07. Its like the most depressing comparison ever... Not as depressing as looking at the Hart Foundation now. Either that, or comparing them to Teddy Hart, if I want to be a dick.
