So, I was watching the PPV again tonight on tape, and was thinking about where and how I watched, and my reactions.
My room mate (at the time) and I drove out to my parent's house, and watched it live on PPV with a ghetto cooler in front of us full with 48 beer. We marked like crazy, and it was probably my favourite PPV ever.
We got drunk, had a good time, and loved the PPV.
My point is, where were you, what did you do, and what did you think of the original ECW One Night Stand?

First of all, this should be in the WWE Forum.
I didn't buy the ppv, as I didn't have ppv capabilities at the time. I bought a copy off eBay, which I still have. Actually I was mailed two, so I ended up selling the other for twice the amount, anyhoo, it was a great ppv at the time, but I don't think it's aged well.

I think it was great how they re-created the atmosphere of the real ECW, but I hated they way they inserted JBL and Eric Bischoff into the show. But overall it was one of my favorite WWE ppv's of the last decade.

I watched it alone in my living room at 3 a.m. (because I am the only wrestling geek in my family and because of the different time zones). Knowing almost nothing about ECW at that time, I thought it was the most fun show of that year so far. No boring feeling arose, I felt entertained throughout and it encouraged me to buy further DVDs with old-school ECW content.

I have it on DVD. But never seen it, I now think I will find it and watch it.

Magical moment right there. I'm ashamed to say I don't own the dvd, but I did watch it live and just loved it.

I still have the VHS of this almost purely for the unedited Sandman entrance.
I've hardly seen any of the old ECW but I loved this as it was full of emotion, Heyman and RVD's shoots plus that entrance really made it for me. Tanaka vs Awesome completely blew me away too, I had no idea of their history so didn't expect much and they completely stole the show wrestling wise.

How were they able to edit out the crowd singing along to the Sandman's theme? I know they edited it to his later theme in post, but did they just put in generic cheering on the DVD?

It was great, Heyman's Shoot made it that much better.

It's one of the best wrestling PPV's I've ever seen.
I mean, really.
I had kinda always wanted to watch ECW, but just never did (even when it was on TNN). And after this PPV, I REALLY wish I had watched it.

It was like seeing an old friend you thought you'd seen for the last time.
I was actually a little emotional during a few parts.
I have always considered that to be the last ECW show..

Overrated.
It's like seeing an ex for the first time in years and after spending some time with them, you question why you even liked them in the first place.

It's an awesome PPV but not quite as good as I remember. A lot of the matches were quite short and Guerrero and Benoit stunk the place out.
