With Matt Hardy gone and Finlay taking the role of top face it's obvious that ECW needs one or two new upper midcard faces to be their new Matt Hardy(s).
So take one guy from Smackdown and/or one from Raw and make them ECW's top faces. who should they be?

I say send Goldust after he loses a brief feud to Cody...he's entertaining enough, plus enough of a veteran to help out the younger wrestlers there.

Hurricane Helms would be a good fit, he'd make a good champion too. Jimmy Wang Yang and The Brian Kendrick aren't doing much either

Jamie Noble. So I could actually see him wrestle more than once a month.

William Regal while not a fan he's a veteran and this is the world title he could hold.

Kennedy or MVP would be good. For Kennedy he can show he can stay healthy and for MVP he could be a solid face and then work his way back to being a heel and move to RAW or stay over as a face and move to RAW.

Helms, because I like the guy and think he could do with a push, but it'll never come on either of the big shows.
Rey Mysterio. For the exact opposite reason, actually. I don't like him, and would prefer it if he was somewhere I didn't have to watch him. But he would be a marquee name for ECW, which they do sorely need.

I don't think Raw can spare anybody right now. They've 24 male wrestlers and 7 women. But when you further break that down into both official teams and people who are gonna be paired in segments for TV. There aren't that many options

Christian. This is of course assuming he's signed by the WWE.
Sorry to everybody who thinks that he's going to be thrust into the main event scene on SD. That's just not going to happen. His TNA run means squat to Vince, and he's not as big a name with the casual fans as some on this board think he is.
That said, he IS well known and talented enough to carry ECW. I could see him being a pretty decent fit over there. He'd get lost in the shuffle in the mid-card of either of the two big shows, but in ECW (much like TNA), he'd be a big fish in a much smaller pond.

What about Mysterio? He's not doing much on Raw these days.

SmackDown! - MVP
Raw - Manu. Get him over as a monster, like they did with Mike Knox.
